Let's see...introduction...My name is Tania and I started Slimming World in July-ish off the recommendation of an online friend. I'd like to get down to 140 pounds for our vacation in December, but if everything goes well I wouldn't mind seeing if I could manage another 1/2 stone beyond that.

Oh...and I'm from Canada so the spelling, phrases and foods found within might be different :) And I'm at least 6 hours behind most everyone else.

If you're reading feel free to comment or leave a note. I don't mind at all :)

So, for today (Red or EE depending on dinner)

Breakfast:
Coffee & Milk (part HexA)
Egg, bacon and bread (4 syns because the bread had no redeeming value whatsoever)

Lunch:
Tossed salad (no dressing)
3 Ryvita (part HexB), 2 laughing cow light (part HexA), cucumber and bell peppers.

Snack:
Plum

Dinner :
Oven baked Pork chops
Carrots and Snap Peas
Potatoes
1 big glass of wine (9 syns)

Lots of water through the day

Wet and dreary outside today :yuk: but no snow yet...so that's a good thing.

Realized last night that we've got a really busy long weekend coming up (thanksgiving weekend) so after WI tomorrow my goal for the week is to STS. Not going to go crazy, but I also don't see the point in depriving myself so might as well learn how to be sensible in these situations now, rather than being super strict for months and then having no tools to deal with things once I hit goal.

...plus super-strict isn't a lot of fun :)

However...today I will be good :innocent0002:

Thursday (Red)

Breakfast:
Coffee with Milk (part HexA)
Kashi Go-Lean (3/4 HexB - because that's all that will fit in the container I use)
Plum
Yogurt + 1 tsp honey (1 syn)

Lunch:
Chicken and Salad - Not filling at all. Should have gone for the hot food choice.
Peppermint Tea

Snack:
Bell pepper strips and some cucumber. Will see if I can hold out until dinner...

Dinner:
Fajita - HexA, HexB
Wine - 9 syns

Well, so far the day has not gone as expected. I was supposed to come into work for a bit and then pick up DH at the dentist because he's getting his wisdom teeth out. Then, I'd have the rest of the day off to do nothing :) But once he got to the dentist office they told him the dentist hurt his back and wouldn't be in today.

So instead of using up a vacation day I'm here at work and have to take the train home.

But...we're going to the symphony tonight...to see Bugs Bunny. Only way I'd get those two boys (DH and DS) there was to make it so that they could watch cartoons. It should be a lot of fun :)

Food for Friday:

Breakfast
Coffee and Milk (HexA)
Eggs and Bacon

Lunch - Tacos. I couldn't find anything i wanted to eat...which should have been my first clue I wasn't hungry. But i ate anyway and now I feel like garbage. Don't know the syns, will have to look it up.

Went for a walk after lunch.

Dinner - Adam was thinking Chinese.

...to catch up...

Friday we did end up having Chinese. Little bit of rice, little bit of chow mein, little bit of beef, and some veggies. And 2 glasses of wine.

Then a half of a half of sparkling wine at the symphony.

Felt like garbage at 2 in the morning.

Saturday -
Birthday party for a 2 year old. Good fun, but too much to drink.

...and the mum made excellent cupcakes and cookies.

Sunday - Thanksgiving dinner

Actually went well. Didn't overdo it, but still ate too much junk.

Monday - Day off

Trying to eat veggies and other free foods in an attempt to reign it in :)

Real diary starts again tomorrow.

Back at work...sooooo tired, need more coffee. :coffee: It's going to be a trying day, I can feel it.

Tuesday (Red)

Breakfast -
Coffee
Kashi Go Lean (HexB)
Yogurt
Banana

Lunch -
Turkey
Sauteed zucchini and bell peppers

Snack - ???

Dinner -
Chicken
Green Beans
Tomato & Mozza salad (HexA, HexB)

I feel a bit icky today :yuk:. I'm pretty sure it's psychosomatic since there are a few people in the office out with a stomach bug and I felt fine until I knew that.

Or, it could be nerves since DH is going for a job interview this afternoon. Closer to home, much less stress (& much less pay...), smaller building etc. etc. I think it's something he needs to do, but we'll see how him and the boss get on.

Food for Wednesday

Breakfast
Bagel. With Butter - a million syns, but it might be helping my tummy.
Coffee. With Cream - ditto. Except the helping my tummy part, I think caffeine aggravates the ulcer I don't really have.

Lunch
Turkey and Green Beans.

Dinner
....? Will update later.

Well, went a little off the rails in the afternoon. Was hungry but didn't want junk so I grabbed a smoothie instead.

Dinner was excellent. Spanish rice mixed with chicken, topped with cheese and then baked in the oven.

...and a salad. And a glass of wine.

Lost the plot a bit today. Work lunch thing and poor planning to blame.

Thursday
Breakfast - Bread, bacon, egg. Coffee with milk.
Lunch - tiny bit of lasagna, 2 bites of bruchetta, 2 pita triangles, a tiny cream puff, 1 cookie and an after eight chocolate. And a cranberry gingerale
Dinner - hamburger without the bun, roasted potatoes, salad.

I just found your diary and i thought i would stop by and say 'hello'. I too am doing sw abroad in Australia, which makes me 15 hours ahead of you - which is really weird as it is nearly lunch time here, but you are still on yesterday!!!

Well done on losing 1/2 stone so far - keep up the good work

xxx

Looks like all the naughty weekends are catching up with me. Sneaky peak at the scale shows a pound up so I'm going to try and be 100% for the rest of the week, in addition to exercise (that slipped a bit last week).

Also I bought fruit for breakfast, so that I don't go to the shop to buy something bad.

Monday's food (EE)

Brussel Sprouts (yuck)

Into the end game of this work project and it's causing a bit of stress and frazzled nerves for me and the team. Two more weeks and then we're wrapped up and onto the next project.

Battling a low grade headache too today (and yesterday), wonder if it's food, stress or weather related. hmmmm.

Tuesday Food (Red...probably)

Breakfast:
same as yesterday (Hex B and 1 syn)

Lunch:
A mountain of green beans with mozza cheese (HexA...measured and everything)
tiny bit of leftover pork from last night

Dinner:
...have no idea.

wrapping up yesterday....

Crazy hungry at 2:30 so had a yogurt with fruit. It was really sweet so it had some syns in it.

45 minutes Zumba when I got home

Dinner -
Fish with a coating - syns for that, don't know how many.

Quick post to end the evening.

Had a big meeting for the work project, which went well, so it's all downhill from here :) However, it means I'm using today and tomorrows syns on wine.

Breakfast was egg and bacon sandwhich.

Lunch was fish and veggies

Dinner was him and salad

Yay! Thursday...just means Friday is right around the corner :) Am watching the 2nd Scooby Doo movie with DS, he's more interested than I am :)

Food for Thursday (Red)

Breakfast:
Cereal (HexB)
Yogurt and Honey (1 syn)
Banana
Coffee :coffee:

Lunch
Ham, cheese (HexA), Salad
More Coffee

Dinner
Spag Bol (HexB + 4 syns for the sauce)
Glass of wine (9 syns)

I want a small treat, even though I'm out of syns. Or, I might have a bath. That would probably be better :)

Love Friday's!!!!!!

WI today and down 1.5 lbs. I think it's the exercise, weeks where I sluff it off I sts or gain. So must keep up the Zumba!

My SW wedge tips:
- fresh from the garden potatoes don't need to par boil as long
- dark pans work better
...okay, only 2 tips.

Had burgers and fries for dinner :)
