    Hiya everyone, been back on LT almost a week, just wondering how long it takes for youe tastebuds to change, and you stop hankering for the bad stuff ?

    I've kicked the wanting for red wine bout 3 weeks ago, but can't seem to kick the wanting for choccy and ice cream ?

    would of thought it will be when you go back in to ketosis so could be 5-7 days! i went into ketosis in 4days and others have took 8-9 days so think it depends on the individual! keep strong it will arrive soon! good luck

    I dont think it really is anything to do with being in ketosis, I think it's all psychological our "wanting" for bad food. Not to go too deep into it but I think we have changed our attitude to food, we no longer see it as a necessity to survival, we see it as rewards and enjoyment (which there is nothing wrong with- within reason). Personally speaking, Im on week 5 and Im still getting the "want" for food, but Im not craving it.. if that makes sense. Im dreaming of food and Im also having ghost tastes in my mouth of quiche for some strange reason. Weird!

    makes sense now actualy, im in week 6 and im getting cravings! But strangely for things i wouldnt really eat! and i also get the ghost tastes which is really really weird when youve not eat anything atall for 6weeks!

    im in week 3 and since the end of week one ive been craving toast or just a salad and ham sarni, normally its burgers, but after week one i just want to eat a salad sarni yummmmmmmmmmmmmm

    I am starting to think my cats food smells nice :eek: lol

    just ice cream with me, thats all I want, but as my friend says, go look at your holiday clothes, sit and stare at them and remember why your doing this.

    I daren't go near a shop while craving though :eek:

    Go away 12 weeks today, so 10 more weeks of this dieting, then start again when i come back as have a long way to go

    haha i know what you mean with the cat food haha, smells nice now not like poo:p

    and even my sons sloppy baby jars are tempting now haha

    The only thing I am craving is a tuna crunch Baguette from Greggs. I wish I had had one before I started it! :p I actually had a dream I was eating one, when I woke up I felt better and I didn't want one for a while, but the craving is coming back, it is when I smell red peppers, it must be!! Usually if I drink enough water I forget about it for a while.

    same here hun, i just want a lovely sarni, and gregs are the best id also love a subway but no way haha


    i find i tend to want to eat when i dont drink enough water and also im having my shakes really late

    Welcome back Colette. Good luck with the coming weeks!

    I think after a couple of weeks the bad cravings really go, you get so used to being on the shakes that they seem second nature.

    I'm in my fourth week and have found cravings have gone. I'd be lying if i said things don't smell good, but to be honest the dream of being slim again has taken over any desire to eat.
