Hi homies :D

I cannot believe I am apart of a team already :) so cool!! :p

Right here goes:-

1) I am meeting CDC on 6/1/09 so hope to start on 7/1/09- will update with start weight and goal weight once tues is over, if thats okay :)

  • My biggest inspiration to lose weight is MY WEDDING- 29th August 2009 :love047: I do not currently fit into my wedding dress so...
  • To fit into my wedding dress :D
  • To not feel so drab and unhealthy
  • To improve the problems I have with my pelvis/back at present
  • To be able to go on holidays and not feel ugly, not to cover myself up but to show off my new figure ;)
3) My dream outfit would probably just be to be able to wear anything and look good in it, not to have to worry too much about tops clinging to my flab, or my bingo wings being on show :8855:

4) May vary due to me working shifts, but I shall try and get it for a Monday/Tuesday evening wherever possible!!

I can see this thread is really going to take off and help all of us to stay on the straight and narrow...but if we do end up falling off the wagon :17729: we will all be here for one another :gen126: to help motivate and get people going, no need to :hide: away just shout out and support will be on hand!!

Hi Guys

Any vacancies on your team? :)
Hi Guys

A bit of info

Started 01/01/09 at 18st 2lb. My goal weight is to be under 11 stone by my birthday on 28 September.

5 reasons for losing weight:-
1) To improve my health
2) To improve my fitness
3) To look better and be more confident
4) To not have to squeeze into pajamas at work that are far too small.
5) Just to be comfortable in my own skin

My weigh in day will be Monday or Tuesday, I work shifts too.

My dream outfit will be a little black mini dress with knee high boots. Never managed to wear knee hight boots because I cant get any to fit me lol.

I have done CD before and lost 2st 7 in 7 weeks but then me and hubby split up so it all went a bit pear shaped after that, it was just a bit too stressful and I turned to food for comfort. But that is all behind me and I am wanting to lose the weight once and for all. Plus I do not want to be fat and 40.

not for long hopefully
Hi team-mates

Firstly, Missyl, thanks for taking on the leader role, not too rough now!!!!

My start date was 1 Jan 09 & start weight was 347lbs
My goal date is 12 Jun 09 & goal weight is 203lbs.

Better health
Being able to buy clothes I like rather than those that fit
For my wife & kids - they deserve a husband & father
Finally, so I can take my top off in public without people taking the piss and laughing

Anything that I buy cos I like it - as above, tired of buying "fat man clothes"

Saturday AM

Really looking forward to this journey & am soooooo glad that I have 5 top drawer team-mates to go on the journey with!
Hopefully we can inspire/encourage & support eachother until every one of us reach our goals!
Hi Dean,

We certainly will inspire and encourage one another :D we have to help one another during the ups and downs, its part of the CD team contract ;)

Good day?

not for long hopefully
Hi Kate
Well Arsenal won, thats the main thing!
Just had my soup, Leek/Potato - didnt enjoy at all & have now decided that soups are no longer on my menu.
Gonna stick to freezing a tetra and having as ice cream, having a couple of selected packet shakes and obviously, the 2 porridges.
Have really given the soups a go, just cant get into them.
How have you been?
Well thanks hun, did you go to see the match then or was it on tele?
I don't know what I'm going to think of the soups, I hope I will like some of them....freezing for ice-cream sounds like a good idea :D I may try that too! Are you going to try any other receipe ideas? Any plans this evening? :)

not for long hopefully
My son and I went, we have season tickets!
The ice cream thing really works, it takes away the dullness of some of the shakes/soups and tells your mind that your eating ice cream rather than having a shake - just dont load ice cream sauce or any flakes on top lol!!!
Will try other ideas in time, will ask my cdc what she has tried in the past.
This evening, the missus has celeb BB on, so will have to watch that shortly - its one of those things that I hate but find myself watching and getting into (if that makes any kind of sense).
Whattabout you, looking forward to start day?
I know exactly what you mean because I am the same, I do it with BB, X Factor, Strictly, you name it I hate it at first then suddenly for some reason find myself wanting to watch it. We have CBB on now too!! I love Verne, I think he may win it. Who'd you like in there?

I am looking forward to tues, only 3 more sleeps then I can meet my CDC and really hope I can start it on Wed, it would be fab if I could!! I feel ready to go!!

I have read one thread with receipe ideas on it which sound good, reakon I will try some in time too!!

not for long hopefully
Verne has to win dosent he, I can also see big arguments especially between Terry, Tommy, Ulrika & Lucy (I know she is a page 3 glamour model, but I have taken an instant dislike to her).
I actually like Terry, I have had him in the cab a couple of times, he's a really decent fella!
REALLY!?!?! Wow look at you, you celeb hangerarounder ;) haha!! He seems like a right laugh, but also very opionated. I think Tommy may end up getting on some peoples tits, and maybe even Coolio.....The rest I am yet to make my mind up about!
So your a cabby then eh...I know where to come if I'm ever in the area :D Picked up anyone else famous before? xx

not for long hopefully
Yeah, a london black cab driver, no 2 days are ever the same, which is great. You do get some arses in the cab, but also some nice un's!
Regarding "celebs", yeah Ive had a few - Noel Gallagher, Joan Collins, Peter Kay, Jodie Marsh (urrggggh, but she gave a tenner tip) and I'll give you a wierd one..... I had a politician in the cab asking to go to the houses of parliment - we got chatting and I found out he was a Labour politician, he then said "what do you do for a living". I nearly crashed the cab, I told him I was a plumber, he then replied "good trade that". I was gobsmacked! That is a true story, 100%.
LMAO I couldn't even read that out to my partner without laughing :D:D:D just goes to show doesn't it!!!

It certainly sounds like an interesting living to have, meeting difference people, no 2 days the same etc :) how long have you been in the trade?

Its been ages since I have been to anywhere near London, I have one hen do idea which would result in me heading your way though ;):D
I think we ought to probe you for funny stories when we're all feeling down and like falling off the wagon ;) you could perk us all up and give us some extra fuel to carry on!! x

not for long hopefully
Yeah I have a few funny/wierd stories, but will save them for as you say, we're all feeling down!
Bloody plumber!!!! Thought he was taking the piss but he was deadly serious!
Kate, I have to shoot, the pizza man has just arrived, LOL.
Take care, spk tomorrow!
Dont forget, whenever you are in London and need a cab, call a plumber!!!
See ya
PS: Janet Jacksons voice is starting to grate on me!
PPS: Imagine playing hide N seek with Verne!!!
PPPS: Not knocking him, I initially think that he may be a great housemate!
PPPPS: Me pizza's getting cold, lol - see ya
OK darlin, me too, better spend some time with OH else I'll get a tellin off!! Haha, its La Tooya Jackson, not Janet ya fart!!
Defo save ya stories, I really wanna hear more but think you ought to save them for a laugh when we really need it :D
Night sweet, well done today and keep on it!!
Team 19 will rock this show!!!
Ah, so this is where you guys are! Yay, we're up and running :happy036:

So, my bits.

1. my start date is monday and I'm not going to weight in until then. So will update this question soon.

2. Five reasons for losing the weight:
*I just want to be normal and have the same experiences that slimmer people take for granted
*To wear clothes that I like and from a range of shops
*To be comfortable moving/sitting/walking etc and to be able to run and skip and play!
*To not have to worry about all the health problems an obese person is likely to suffer from
*To feel good about myself

3. I'm not sure that I have found my dream outfit yet. But I'd love to go to something formal like a ball in a slinky cocktail dress.

4. My official weigh day is going to be saturdays :)

And to tell you a little something about myself..
I was always really big, my whole life, and never really thought much about it because I had never known any different. Although I always assumed that one day I would be slim, I never thought about the bit between now and then when I would have to do something about it!
Anyway, I used to live with a friend who was always on one diet or another and never really getting anywhere. Then she moved up north and I didn't see her in six months. In that time she lost about 6 stone and I was like, woah, I want to do what you are doing! So like her I joined CD.
That was at the beginning of Jan last year and between then and the beginning of Dec I lost about 9.5 stone. Then I decided to have a bit of a break and spend a month healthily enjoying the christmas period. Except I went completely off the rails and ate and drank stupid amounts and now I'm too scared to get on the scales to see the damage done. So I am leaving it until I see my CDC on Monday and have no choice but to weigh in.
I still have a way to go with this diet, and I realise (now more than ever after my disasterous christmas experiment) that I will need to spend the rest of my life watching what I consume. But I am really enjoying the benefits of losing the weight I have so far, so wanted to add those in too.

*Have loads more energy, and need less sleep
*Can already wear a wider range of clothes and shop for clothes in more stores (it's sooooo great to have choice!)
*Am having, erm, quite a bit more male attention (bit akward at time, but ultimately it's great!)
*It's cheaper buying less food! (credit crunch and all that :D)
*My sister has stopped having a go at me for being soooo fat every time I visit her

Phew, I think that's enough for now, although I'm sure I could keep going. Anyway, it's great to see you all here and can't wait to hear more of those stories Dean :p

Love Dee xx
