We are just 3 ladies have bonded together on this fantastic forum @craftermary and @Diane1966 we have decided that 2020 is the year we say goodbye to endless following of the standard diets, and have devised our own plans. We all plan on doing our own formal version of a flexitarian diet due to us all wanting a more plant based diet with as less meat as possible but not give it up 100%.

So from the 1st Jan we will be posting on herewhat we have eaten each day to keep us all on track and accountable for what we eat. Hoping this journey will get us to where we want to be, it’s not going to be easy but what is. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I suffer endless with post nasal drip, the consultant at the hospital has zero interest so after reading different opinion, I have decided to ditch dairy for a few months to see if it helps. I’ve also decided to ditch meat for the month of January. The not eating dairy will hit me a lot harder than the meat as I’m not a meat lover anyway.

so here’s to a happy healthy 2020

Ok i swear this is the last time I’m going to say “ I’m restarting” I’m 53 and so fed up with being overweight (obese actually). I desperately need to lose 3 stone, I know I’m not a total failure as I’ve already lost 1st 9.3lbs but its taken way too long, since November 2017. I have long periods of being so good and feel like I’m getting somewhere then life gets in the way and well, you all know what i mean but it’s got to stop. This is the year for it to be my turn, i want to lose the weight and get to a point where i feel happy and comfortable with myself. My exercise is non existent, i do a desk job so find it difficult to get the steps in, this is going to have to change. To get me started I’ve invested in a Fitbit Versa and I’ll be trying my best to get 10,000 steps a day in, i may not always manage this but I’m going to give it a good go.

I must just say that there’s three friends on this forum @craftermary @GaGirl and @Mini that i may not have met in person but they’ve been there for me through all my ups and downs over the past few years, the loss of my dear sister recently and the list goes on and on, so thankyou to all three of you 😊. Ladies if i start to fall off the wagon then please give me a big kick up the butt.

.......................................................................................

This is my line drawn so let the healthy eating begin.

I will be basing my plan on intermittent fasting, low carb. All the rubbish from Christmas has now gone so no excuses.

My starting weight this morning is 15st10.2lbs and my official weigh in day will be a Friday.

I might be the one you call the lucky one re: not having to lose weight but I have had some health issues.

So my aim for the end of 2020 is to have built my muscles up and get fit again. Also back to cooking some meals from scratch.

I am Gluten Free, lactose free, sugar free as in cakes, biscuits, sweets and alcohol free.I eat meat once a week and that is usually sausages.

I am here to keep the other two @GaGirl and @Diane1966 motivated and kick up the butt if they need it.

I am going to do some yoga, biking and weights.

Here's to getting :character00116: in 2020.:)

Totally forgot to take pictures 🙄 so my first day fairy free and meat free. I can’t believe how many products have milk in them. It’s a total minefield, I’m sure my weekly shop will take me forever tomorrow.

lunch
vegan sausage roll

dinner
m&s roast parsnip festive meal
Roast pots
And veg
Followed by strawberries and a free from choc mousse

loads of water drank. Got all my steps in and have stayed under calories which I’m not truly counting as won’t be weighing out food, just logging to keep track of meals.

Well thats two days complete, the food has been a doddle, no urge to eat things that I shouldn’t so that’s a plus point but on the other hand the exercise has been the hardest part for me. Now I know I’ve managed to do the 10k+ per day but I’ll be honest, I’m lazy and seem to really struggle to get myself motivated. During the day at work I’ve tried to get as many steps in as possible so i have less to do when i get in, the minute i arrive home I’m straight on the treadmill otherwise if i sit down then I think I’d not bother getting up again.
My knees crunch like mad and they feel sore, i know if i can get a few pounds off they will feel better so this is my motivation. They say for every pound you lose it’s equal to four pounds less on your knees.
According to the Nutracheck app at the rate of a 2lb loss each week, i should reach my goal by the 19th May but it will probably take me a bit longer than that. I would love to be a much healthier weight by the time we go away in September.

not much to really report food wise. Was just a few chips due to this unhappy tummy of mine, probably not the best of food choices, but quickness was needed after going out for longer we anticipated made us rush to get ready for the party.

so
Breakfast none
lunch. Toast with marmite.
dinner. A few chips

plenty of water zero exercise.
