THE SHRED THREAD..!!!

Heeeeey everyone,

i thought i would start a ''shred thread'' both for my own personal motivation and for anyone else who wants to jump on the bandwagon..!!

For those of u who dont know, shred is a fitness dvd by jillian michaels (personal trainer on the biggest loser usa) and its full title is 'the 30 day shred'..

She claims that u can lose up to 20lbs by following the dvd. There is 3 levels and the aim is to do 10 days at each level. The workout is only about 20 mins long and concentrates on circuits that incorporate strength, abs and cardio.

So girlies feel free to join this thread and jump on the shred bandwagon lol.

okay so for me its day 1, level 1 completed..:D:D:D

was hard enough i have to say, i wasnt ready to collapse lol but i definately felt THE BUUUUUURRRRRNNNN...!!!!!

so onto day 2 in the morning xx

hi emz,
i have this dvd and have had it for ages and could never get to the end of phase 1. i hope i am a little fitter now, maybe i will just try it again! i do have flu atm and am also going away to do my exams. but from next wed i can join you - i will be a week behind you though :-(

Hi. I'm doing this too. I'm on day 4.
I did it last summer and I can tell you, its really, really good. If you stick to it, you'll see some amazing results by the end of 2 weeks.
I'm trying to do it every morning for 6 days a week.

Hiya kayemm yeah u need hand weights and a mat as there is floor exercises but a couple tins of beans and a big towel would be fine if ur stuck :) xx

Hiya samiyah, good for u on day 4. I've seen some of the results from other girls and they're amazing. I'm goin to try and upload pictures on day 15 and then again at day 30. Good luck with it :) xx

Yeah I'm going to go for it with tins of tomatoes (hate beans lol!) am going to download it on my iPhone - will be small to watch but have no excuse not to do it then when my toddlers watching a peppa pig DVD! :)

I did the DVD for a bit last year, really liked it and planning to start using it again in the next few days :)

LEVEL 1, DAY 2 COMPLETED :D:D:D

did it once i got home from having a meal out.
OMG....i definately felt the burn from early on tonight. was def glad to see the bicycle crunches at the end lol. :D

Okay now I'm really feeling it after day 2, I'm more sore after 20 mins with jillian than I ever was after an hour with davina lol.!! But that means it's working... Just hope I can cope with day 3 tomorrow :-/ xx

Day 3 level 1 complete :) but OMG it killed me. Was still sore from yesterday but I tackled it anyway.!! GO MEE..!!! :) xx

Day 3, well done! I've just done level 1 for the first time and can't say I enjoyed it but will try and keep at it. Not so keen on my body wobbling when I do the jumping jacks lol. And I used to be an aerobics instructor until I was pregnant three years ago (hangs head in shame!) now I'm struggling with 20 mins of flat out exercise, would not be able to do an hour at this weight but looking forward to being fitter again :)

Well done shredders! I used to be an aerobics instructor too many moons ago. It is horrid seeing my love handles now lol! Am gonna try level two soon- fingers crossed...

Hey all, no shred tonight for me I'm havin a nite off as was run off my feet at work yesterday and I came home late from work
And did shred and today I'm like a zombie..lol. Am so so tired so had a bath and got into my jammies. Will do day 4 2moro :) xx

It must be ok to do that though? Surely there is no point in designing a programme that can't be a little flexible for those of us who actually have a life!!! lol!!!

Well done for doing it so far, I'm still blooming impressed!!! x

Can I join in?!

I'm shredding too. I'm on Day 4 today, but I've just done my run for the day so I'm going to wait until a bit later to get shredded! I'm finding it really hard, but mainly because I have no strength in my arms at all!

I have exercised a fiar bit over the last year, but stupidly have concentrated on cardio and my arms are just rubbish. Hopefully sticking to this DVD will help me get my arms in better shape though.

Good luck to all of you for todays workout and (if I have any energy left at all!) I'll pop back on later and catch up!
