My CDC is a real let down. Another cancellation 40 minutes prior to my weigh in. To be fair, this is the 3rd time it has happened, but even so! She knows the predicament I am in atm and that Im trying to get back onto ss 100% - but how is that possible when I run out of my weekly foodpacks and have nothing! This is exactly how I fell off the wagon last time. I'm just going to have to brave it today and drink water, water, water...Last time I said this I ended up eating by 8pm. Early night for me, hb in spare room (can't sleep with my rumbling tum) and a grouchy morning until I see my CDC.

Emma that's shocking. Could you buy some extra packs and keep them as spares? I have a couple kicking around in my desk drawer and the fridge just in case I miss going to weigh in.

Thats really crappy how does she expect you to cope with no food packs, hope you manage to get through the day I am not sure what advice to give other than maybe protien only meals I feel for you hun xx

So do you not have any spare packs? Thats so wrong, like the others i have spare ones, but u shouldnt have to do that! Maybe try finding a more reliable one hun! x

Hi Emma, I am very lucky with my cdc exceptionally reliable and goes out of her way to get products to me, must admit she advised me at start just to have couple of extra packets in, in-case of the unlikely situation that she couldn't get to me.

Knowing that I am defo going to get weighed at a certain time helps me stay on track, and get back on track after a planned break-I was lucky that I got rid of my weekend off -plan gain and lost 4lb this week!! I knew she was great, but its only after reading some cdc stories on here that I realise how lucky I was that fate made me choose her number off the list.
If you are not happy change!!! Blimey you pay enough, so you deserve a good service. Good luck hun, I know you are having a pants time, but just think how bad you'll feel if you let this cause a big blip. Maybe run out to get some low-carb meal replacements from tesco or boots, keeps food out of the equation x

Ever week varies for me as far as weigh in's go. My CDC is a nurse and her work pattern varies each week. So some 'weeks' I'm weighed after 5 days, other as much as 10 days! But she always tells me her work pattern so that I can take enough money with me for however many days I need. She literally just rang me from her work, she had looked in her work diary on the wrong week at my last weigh in, and she is working today. I told her I had no packs so it would have to be morning, which she was fine with. It's just so annoying that my head is in the right place, but the barriers are in my way. I think I am going to puchase 2 days worth extra shakes tomorrow so that if it does happen again I have a few days to keep me going. I have 1 shake for today (just found in my work desk drawer - great reminder Guru :) ). Going to leave it until later when hunger strikes!

Thats awful, especially when your all geared 100%. Is there another CDC you could try and get some extra packs from? Im on day 2 again so now how the hungar can strike. Hope you get sorted soon

I did try that last time it happened, but the CDC said she would need to speak to my CDC before selling me any products, and she couldn't get hold of her. The only other way she would do it would be to see my signed medical form. I have misplaced my copy and my CDC has the other part. Life is never simple!!!

p.s - I think that the cambridge diet should have a nationwide database system with peoples names under each cdc - that way when we run into problems the database can be checked and clients can be sold foodpacks!!! Just a thought!

I wish that the Cambridge website listed all CDCs and that when you sign up, each member gets given a user name and password so that you can go on and rate the CDC. The poor ones would soon be out of business.

Mine is great so she'd get 10/10!

Thats a great idea. One I have been to does their own 'version' of the diet (which they happily admit too) and includes eating healthy food on ss+ It makes me wonder why they arent check now and again.

Hi Emma,

This is a terrible situation, if I lived closer I would bring you some. Completely ridiculous. A CDC must be reliable to be any good, and supportive as well. It seems yours isn't either.

The nationwide database is a great idea! xx

When you visit your current CDC, do the weigh in and buy what you ned for the next week or so. Once that is out of the way, ask for your medical form. When you get home, call the other CDC's in your area and have a little chat with each of them about the current situation. Then just simply choose the best one.

Hi Emma

Horrendous this has happended to you, try splitting your one and only pack into two hon maybe it will fool your tummy a bit. If you are so hungry later have a SS+ meal do not go without, you have just been poorly and it could knock you back completely.

Thats not good news!
I always have spare in just in case, but one time my other half surprised me and we went away for a few days.. thing is he forgot my packs!
I looked on the website, and rang a councillor where I was staying. She was fab, and I got the packs i needed with no problem.
Maybe you could make some calls and explain the situation?
