Hello! I am a CD returner - cant properly say that I ever left - but cheated alot and have had enough of messing around! Want to lose the weight and keep it off for good..
Does anyone have any good tips as a returner? I want to just buckle down and nail it in 3-4 months.
I have about 3-4 stone to lose and this is the end of day 2. Headaches of course :)
Can anyone offer advise as to how to ignore all the haters and temptations people throw at you?
Also has anyone had to deal with negativity from family / friends / any one who has no idea about CD??

Would LOVE to have your thoughts!
    Lyds x

I'm on week 2 but really, done crap with only one 100% day this week! Got to pull my finger out and get back on track! And as you say, crack it with some conviction. I've downloaded some hypnosis apps to help me. Just got to make time to listen to them. Good luck with your plans.

you can do it - just think - it is only a small portion of your life and then you can enjoy the rest of your life as you've always wanted to be :)

I've contracted a kidney infection somehow??? You'd think that impossible with all the water we have to drink! Sore and bloated but at least I lost 2 pound at weigh in tonight. I've had to eat proper meals for the past two days... Missed the shakes! I like strawberry, vanilla, choc, banana and cuppa. Not keen on porridge at all and soups are ok but 'heavy'. I'm 4 pound off my first target now! Two weeks and counting to hit the stone mark in first month. How you finding the 'meals' ?

Yes first CD, I had a failed attempt last year which lasted 2 days so I'll ignore that one. No good CDC and bad experience! Still in pain today but back on shakes. Found a muffin recipe that I might try... Have you "cooked" any of the packs before?

Ah so exciting first time round! Trust me, getting it all done and dusted this time and on to maintenance. You do not want to be repeating it as gets harder every restart. Can't say that I had cooked any packs, didn't know there were recipes?! How can u make muffins without carbs? TELL ME! haha I have to keep things really simple. Don't really think of food when on cd just try and concentrate on my 3 shakes a day and a bit of chicken. Its amazing how well the cd works : -) x

I found a whole host of "recipes" this morning somewhere in the forum. I've copied them just in case... But I agree, keeping it simple is the way forward. I was naughty and had a dinner tonight - some beef cubes & a bit of salad. Hey hoe! My new frock arrived today & IT'S TIGHT :-(. Perhaps another 2 weeks will make a difference - if I SS 100%. Deep joy!
    Onwards & upwards....

    Muffin
    1. Put a little hot water into a ramekin dish, or whatever you have - thick mug or similar (about 2 desert spoons to begin with - you can add more later if necessary)

    2. Add the pack (whatever flavour you desire) and mix it to a thick paste, so thick you think it's too thick!

    3. Put into the microwave on high for just over a minute - if it looks a bit soggy in the middle put it back for about 10 seconds or so.

    BE CAREFUL IT DOESN'T BURN

Haha flowers 221 u made me laugh, not one to try then eh? Weighed this morning had to see damage from yesterday and its 12.6 same as before. Happy about that, not happy that my stomach rumbles this morning! Does that mean I've been kicked out of ketosis?. Will try and drink more water than physicaly possible today: -) x

    Hi Lyds,

I am on day 6 of my umpteenth restart having lost 32lbs in 2009, 10lbs off the target of 10 stones I had set for myself. Restarts have always proved to be really hard. Bizarre because the first time round I found it relatively easy after the first 3 days or so. Personally I think it comes down to a few things. Firstly, the right CDC. My first CDC was absolutely brilliant, could not fault her in any way. All my restarts since were with different CDCs and I could never find one quite like No. 1. I am now back with her, as I have moved to just a couple of miles from her, so distance not such a problem now.

Secondly, getting your brain right. I am not seeing this as some kind of penance for my sins. It's hard but not impossible and it is my choice and I can choose to stop whenever I like, no battle, no drama.

Thirdly, I have loads of big family events coming up this year and how will I feel if I still look and feel like I do now? Horrible and depressed.

I have my youngest daughter's 21st. We are having a mad night out at a venue in Guildford called Flares, which is 70's retro and soooooo funny. We are also having a family BBQ for her birthday as well. In July my middle daughter is getting married on board the Ventura, which will be fantastic, and a week's cruising the Med to boot, the hen do before the wedding, then in 2012 youngest daughter is also getting married.

I daresay there will be other social events that will be coming up that I dont want to make excuses not to go to, like I have been doing. So future goals are important.

CD is the only diet I have done (I have done the lot) where I have lost the weight. I just didnt follow the steps up through maintenance, which was my BIG mistake. I am aware of that for this time. I so want to do this. At the moment, day 6 and going strong. I daresay I will have my struggle days but then minis is a great place for those days. Wonderful support and advice.

Sorry for the long post and maybe some of it might help?

    Good luck hon
