hehe Jen, I've changed my mind - THAT may actually be a dream job!!

It's working for action for children, supporting traveller families with young children. I'll have to educate the parents AND the kids, organize activities and offer parenting advise. Really hard but equally as rewarding, and the pay is massively more than I'm on atm. They just have to check my references and put me through a medical before they can confirm the position :D

Thanks girls xx

Grats on the new job! Everyone is allowed a cheeky treat once in a while or else diets get too boring and restrictive!

thanks for the continued kind posts guys :)
Smirky, I'm not a teacher. they asked for a minimum of a child care based NVQ 3. It's always worth applying anyway though and saying in you application how keen you are to "undergo relevant training" Do you work with children? If not, a good way in is Nursery assistant jobs, you don't need to be qualified but most employers will put you through an NVQ, opening up more doors in the future :)
