trying my best

    Hi everyone,

    I'm new here and was looking for a bit of advice and support. The thing is I started the Cambridge Diet on 31st May. I have lost 16 3/4 pounds in three weeks and my goal eventually is 10 stone. I'm 12st 7.5lb now. I am going on a couple of holidays later this year, the last one being the most important for me.

    But ..... how do I cope with food and temptation while I am away on the holidays before that!! I don't want to spoil the fun for the rest of the family and not eat in a restaurant, but I don't want to put weight on either. I am going to Poland for a few days in July, then Majorca for a week in August then the last holiday in September. I want to be 10st for my September holiday - any advice?????:)

    Hi Mia and welcome to the site :)

    Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss so far with CD!
    Have you had time to look around the CD thread yet on here as I know there will be plenty of advice and tips on how to fit your eating into your holidays?

    If you don't don't mind I will transfer this post of yours to the CD thread and then maybe more members will see it tonight?

    I just got back from 2 weeks in Portugal and lost 2.5lbs and eat and drunk normally. My CDC made me eat 3 weeks before AAM then 790 then 1000. I thought she was crackers but she put on 10lbs on hols as she SS all the way up to the day and the glucose levels went through the roof. I am so glad I followed her advice. I had 2 shakes a day and an evening meal, with fruit throughout the day. I went out and got drunk on 3 barcadi's most nights (50cals each) I sent food back when it looked too fattening and just eat veg/fish/chicken and very small amount of carbs. My advice is eat before you go build it up so your body is not all in a mess on your hols. Don't SS on hols you will just be moody. At the end of the day the diet is a journey not a race.     im off on my hols in 3 weeks so for the last 3 weeks i started working up the plans so that i dont put too much(if any) weight on while im away, i think its the best way to go, then after hols gonna just slip back into the plans to get rid of any more weight i need to :D

    I also worked up the plans before i went away aam 790 1000
    stuck with 1000 on hols and came back 13 lbs lighter in 2 weeks
    it does work
