Why doesn't the forum work?

You have to have posted a certain number of times to be able to go on Trying to Conceive forum.

I get so frustrated here. I don't have hours to spend shuttering on about cats or partners. But I do want to take part. The really high post count required just pushes new members away.

It's to protect people's privacy. As you can imagine TTC is a very personal thing and so I assume they only want people that are known to the forum to be able to post. Maybe you could try a forum that is specific to TTC and pregnancy like the forum on Baby Centre?

Also most people are on here to talk about the trials and tribulations of loosing weight and most of the forums stick to that although of course when keeping a diary, inevitably your personal life is mentioned....
