Well, I can hardly believe it! My daughter, Esther gave birth to her twin babies this morning - at 28 weeks! 12 weeks early!!

Jago Mark came first at 11.17am weighing 2lbs 12 oz followed by his sister, Martha Louise at 11.21am weighing 2lbs 13oz!

Both babies are doing well and breathing on their own. Obviously they are in the neonatal unit but Esther and Jon have been told that they are doing really well and need little care - but obviously will be observed carefully. The prognosis for them both is really good. They could be in hospital for 3 months but it will depend on their progress over the weeks.

Esther was in labour for 30 minutes!!!

My elder daughter, Linsey, is due for a C section on 28th April - so its all happening in our house!!!

Thanks for your good wishes, everybody! This is second time round for me as I already have my beautiful granddaughter, Lydia, who will be 3 just a week before her new brother or sister is born! I love the names of all my grandchildren - they are so different - and having been in teaching for 36 years before I took early retirement so many names have strange memories for me!!!

I just love being a Grandma!!
