I'm switching over from Slimming World, SW is excellent but I was getting fed up of the same thing day in and day out, I loved cooking but found myself making the same sort of meals and getting really annoyed when I didn't have enough syns for something so i'm hoping that a calorie controlled diet will help me overcome that!

Please feel free to comment on my diary if you see something that I should be changing or if i'm doing something wrong

Cheers
V.C :)

Looks good to me- I don't take the nutrition targets as gospel personally. I think the only thing about hitting protein is that it really does help keep you full for longer :)

Lasagne

Serves 8
Total Calories - 2031
Calories per serving - 253

This is how I make mine......

Ingredients
500g extra lean mince - 625
500g Passata - 160
140g Dolmio white sauce - 200
2x Bolognese Oxo cubes - 20
100g Cheddar cheese - 406
red, yellow & orange pepper - 90
2x smallish onions - 20
tbsp Schwartz Italian seasoning - 10'ish
1/2 tsp of salt
8 sheets of pasta - 500

Preheat a fan oven to 180. Add the 3 peppers to a food blender and blitz (only way I can get my children to eat peppers), sit aside, add the 2 onions to the blender and blitz, fry off the mince and add the onions and peppers and fry for 2 minutes, add the oxo cubes and Italian seasoning & salt and fry for another 2 minutes, add the passata and cook for another few minutes. Add half the mince to a lasagne dish and layer 4 of the pasta sheets over it, cover with 70g of the Dolmio white sauce, add the rest of the mince and repeat with the pasta and white sauce, sprinkle the cheese over the top and put in the oven for 20 minutes, once cooked leave to stand for 5-10 minutes before slicing! Enjoy! :)

Friday 10th August - Day 3

Breakfast was just toast & an egg yolk, I don't eat the white I cut it off :yuk: with a wee dollop of brown sauce

Lunch & dinner today was a slice of homemade lasagne (recipe in recipe section) I just used the 'quick added calories' rather than listing every ingredient :)

Needed a wee chocolate fix today!

Another great day of calorie counting, loving it so far! :)
