Hey

Was just wondering if anyone has a typed up copy of which specific veg we are allowed on cruise that they could post up...I have the book on my phone and was going to type up the meat/veg allowed on cruise (to print it out) but thought if someone has done this already it would save me a job;)

and also what he means by all salad? Basically - lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions(all types) radishes, celery....anything else?

Hello there Mel... I'm on my way out, but found this list on the web. Where salad/veg is concerned on Cruise days, remember that this is a high protein diet, even on PV days, and so to keep a rough ratio of 2/3 of your plate to be protein, and only 1/3 veg/salad.

Is allowed in PV Phase:
  • Asparagus
    Eggplant
    Swiss chard
    Celery
    Cabbage
    Mushrooms
    Cucumbers
    Courgettes
    Endive
    Spinach
    Fennel
    French beans
    Leeks
    Peppers
    Radish
    Salad
    Tomatoes
Carrots and beets are allowed but not at every meal because of their sugar content.
  • Are prohibited
Artichoke (got a feeling this one is now ok... unsure though)
Avocado, which is a very fat oleaginous fruit, not a vegetable
    Beans
    Flageolet
    Corn
    Split peas
    Chick peas
    Potatoes
    Lentils
    Rice
    Salsify

Thanks that's brill:D

I imagine peas and sweetcorn aren't allowed, what about broccolli?

xx
