Veg stock?

So I have no boullion in at the moment and this is going to make me sound like a complete desperado, ok I admit I am, and it's only day one. but would it be ok to drink the cooking water from the veg I've just made for the girls? Not as insane as it sounds, my grandad drank cabbage water daily, lived til his late seventies, it's got good vits in and is really just veg stock. Adding salt & pepper, with a dash of hot sauce. Although I'm a fatty I think what I'm going to struggle with a lot here is missing fruit & veg, I do have a good basic diet, it's all the crap I eat on top of that.
