Water Worries

Hi Everybody . Am on day 4 today and doing well so far . I am trying to get in as much water as possible but I am finding it hard. I used to drink lots of tea and coffee before and not water which i know is bad. Is there anyone with a tip to help me drink this water. I cant seem to drink whole glasses at a time only about half a glass . I have tried the sports bottle which is good when I remember it. My husband said to put a reminder in my phone every hour which I might try today !!!;)

How about setting certain times to drink? I always have a 500ml bottle whilst I'm getting ready in the morning and before I have my first cup of tea. Another bottle on the way to work. Another at lunchtime and another on the way home. Then fit another in the evening and you've had your 2.5l.

I think everyone has to find a way that suits them best. For me, I have a glass of boiled water (let it cool a bit first of course!!!) then I always take out small bottles of sparkling water (each bottle is a pint as I measured it) I drink about 3 of these throughout the day. I have another cooled boiled water after my soup and drink another pint of either still or sparkling water. I find the sparling water freshens my breath and stops the YAK feeling onmy tongue (brushing your tongue helps too) although if you are only on day 4 you may not have the YUK yet!!!! (something to look forward to ha ha ha)
the water take in does get easier though I find I am more thirsty now so its easier to manage it, at first I had to force it down. Good luck and stick with it x x

I use the 500ml bottles with sports top..kepp them in the fridge there easier to drink that way!!...everywhere i go i take a bottle, i keep 4 in the fridge use them to make my shkes so i know where i am with the 2lt intake x

Sorry you have to struggle with the water, hun. Have always preferred water to sodas, squashes, teas or coffees so I'm really, really lucky. You will automatically feel a lot thirsty so hopefully it will get easier for you. It's a good habit to take up anyway.

Hi Pelepeg,Florida girl, Yum Yum and SupaSlimma. Thanks for all your suggestions I will percevere !!! . Its great to not feel alone doing this . I have got some negative comments from people already about This "Extreme" diet I am on but I dont care . I have battled with this for years and I now feel the health benifits of getting this weight off outweighs any negative comments . Hey Supa slimma we started at the same weight 201 lbs . I never want to see that figure again. :D . Looking forward to my weigh in on saturday . do you find the weeks long ? trying to keep myself buzy . House looks great . def have more energy for it too.

well done you for keeping strong, i must admit only mum and Oh know i'm on the diet , when i'm happier with my weight i wont be so secretive people can be so negative and i thought this was going to be hard enough without outsiders commenting.
The weeks ok for me its just the weekends..grrrrr there tough!!! goodluck keep strong x

Hi Mitchillinwoman, Yup! I dont wanna go there again EVER! Have to say after week 2 I am finding this LT diet really easy, my house has never been so clean and tidy as I seem to have lots of energy, I'm even sleeping better...I used to wake up through the night and one of the main things on my mind was my obese, unattractive body and how the hell was I going to lose it....again! (started dieting at 16, yo-yoing all the way to 54......) My blood pressure and cholesterol was high and my younger brother has asked me if I would be prepared to donate a kidney as he has to start dialysis...poor thing. So my weight and my health needs to be at the healthiest levels for more than one reason, now. This works for me, if it's working for you, then try and shut out all the negativity and just come on here, love, for your encouragement.
Hi Michillinwoman. We started on the same day so I can sympathise with how you feel right now. I would say ignore any negative comments. You have your own reasons for doing the diet. It's perfectly healthy (compared to past eating habits that got you overweight in the first place). It's monitored by someone medical. Other peoples comments are likely to be jealousy of either your willpower to do it, your courage to make a change - however extreme the method may be - or the fact that you will become slimmer than them!

Well done. 11lb is fantastic.

I was really disappointed as I was only 6lb down. But, I was only 5 days in and the pharmacist weighed me 5 days before I started - and before I has chips, chinese etc. According to my scales, I'm 9lb down.
