Wedding Anniversary

Emmaline

Hippety Hop!
If there is joy and peace on earth
And all the people were like you
I know that little would be left
To make a paradise come true.
Love each other and remember
It takes two to make love grow
Keep that love so soft and tender
In your hearts then you will know
That even tho' the times get rough
You're not alone and lost and sad
But you'll find strength and happiness
In sharing all the good and bad.
Be wise and never ever think
That parting would be just the thing,
It makes folly of your deeds
And leaves you with a painful sting.
So keep right on with steadfastness
Along the road you're walking now,
And as each day comes to an end
Remind each other of that vow -
"To love and cherish I thee take
Till death alone would us part"
And all that I can wish for you
I do so now, with all my heart.

What a beautiful poem and so very true. We've been married 37 years and been through a lot of heartache in that time as well as the good times. Both of us make no secret that we can cope with anything with the other by our side, but if we were alone it would be a different story.
