Wedding dresses!

Im starting the hunt for my wedding dress. i got married last year but didnt have the white wedding ive always wanted so me and my husband are renewing our vows in turkey next year, on a boat at sunset :)
Im strongly thinking of buying my dress online as its so much cheaper! does anyone know any good, reliable websites or has anyone bought their dress online?
any help appreciated xxx

My cousin bought hers from ebay from a company in China for something ridiculous like £99. It was pretty well made and the material was lovely. They did make a mistake with the sizing on the arms though which saw me sewing silk panels into them so it fitted. For what it cost it was amazing.

Before she bought one though she spent a day doing the bridal shop thing so she could try on different styles and see what suited her and what she felt the most glam in.

I got mine from a shop - just so you can try before you buy.

There are lots of second hand/never worn ones on a site called Preloved. Its like ebay - but without the auction.

Also, Monsoon and Debenhams do some amazing dresses if you don't want to spend a fortune but still look a million dollars xxx

I got married abroad and had a proper wedding dress. Cost £400 which i thought was pretty good - was a destination wedding dress so designed to be more lightweight than normal ( had no train etc) glamourous gowns are the best online company i've seen. You need to think about how u will get it there too! I used my entire hand baggage allowance and took it that way in a special box also think about the heat out there It nearly killed me wearing a heavy fitted dress in 100 degree heat! Worth it though.

I bought mine in Monsoon on one of their sales. It is a GORGEOUS dress I love it, though it's just a "little" too big now (5 dress sizes). :)

:D fantastic!!

I bought mine on ebay, brand new & made to my measurements. It was about £100 & absolutely beautiful. There are some really gorgeous dresses on there, I would definitely recommend it.

**nods**

I have a posh June wedding in Northern Ireland and last week my brother and OH booked their (2nd time for both) wedding on Xmas Eve. I've been looking at the Monsoon site for a dress for me to wear to both and mentioned their wedding dresses to my sister-in-law who loves them! Prices are not too bad at all - and some dresses more like evening dresses so could be used again I guess.

Also gorgeous little dresses for their 2 year old daughter. :love047:

Thanks for all the great suggestions ladies :) will be checking them all out but theres so many to choose from its overwhelming!!

Hi hun - what size are you?
My auntie got married in November and bought a dress online but never wore it! As she then went in to a shop and 'saw the one'.

The dress is beautiful.. and still in my wadrobe never been worn with tags!

It's a size 14! Ha so weird that I randomly saw this post (only usually look at subscribed - but just saw weddingy stuff and - I had completely forgotten about it u 'til I was sorting my wardrobe out!

I won't fit it to it to take a pic - so just put it on the hanger ...

You could try ringing round charity shops, or looking at their websites, because there are a number of them who specialise in wedding dresses.

A young friend of mine bought a beautiful designer dress for about £50 - I think it was in Stratford.
