Week 5 on Sole Source.....

    For the last 4 days I have been craving food so bad.
    All I want to do is eat. I think that's the thing with this diet, some days you can sail through without even noticing and some days it's mighty tough.

    It clearly doesn't help that I am due on today - go figure.

    So yes, I cheated on Friday with a couple of roast potatoes and half a bowl of clear chicken consomme. It didn't really affect my weigh in too badly as I still lost 2lb last week. I'm hoping if I am a very good girl this week and stay 100% on track that I might lose 3 or 4lb this week.... hope springs eternal.

    Frankly I just want my period to start and the cravings to stop then I should be okay.
    I'd LOVE to know if anyone has any great tips for surviving the time of the month on this diet.. as it's going to happen again before I move on to step 2.

    Hi!

    I'm a consultant and also on the diet, 9lbs left to go until 6.7 stone :) this happens to me every month , awful isn't it! Like you it's also lead me to cheat. I always move up a step this week and then move back down when the week ends. Yes it may slightly slow your weight loss down. But it enables you to control the situation and prevents any binging. Well for me it does anyway.

    Awww thanks Laura....

    In fact I ate a meal or two. I didnt massively pig out but i did eat. I was just starving.... and craving. I think i probably shouldve done it in a controlled way BUT never the less, it did kick start my metabolism and although I didnt lose anything that week, I have lost 4lb this last week so all in all I am a happy bunny.

    Thanks so much for the sound advice, i'm going to try that next month ;))

    Today I am 12 stone 4lb... so a total loss in 7 weeks of 1st 8lb...
