So unfortunately i wont be at goal by the time i refeed on the 3rd of dec but ive decided i will just have to accept it and lose the rest with refeed and maintenance.

I lost 2lbs not that this isnt good but ive only lost 9lbs in 4 whole weeks thats 5lbs under the average. AM i doin something wrong????

Im just gonna keep saying to myself 16 sausages 16 sausages or else ill go insane.

Do i drink more water or less? shud i exercise more or stop completely?? These are the nonsense things goin threw my head. I know i cant control how much i will lose but not getting to goal is killing me! I had my eye set on not stopping until i reach it but it just isnt feasible.

I will prob here's hoping lose 2lbs a week until my last weigh in 10lbs in total gone that means i will be 1 stone off target :cry:makes my heart hurt even saying that!

I really dont know wat to do I kinda feel like a failure which i know is silly but why cant my bloody body ever do wat its meant to.

Sorry bout the moan really bad day today..hormones flying everywhere now!:sigh:

you may get a few nice surprises hun and lose more than normal and reach your target.no worries if not though coz you've done great and i think you'll do just fine when you come off tfr.

the sausages thing is great to keep you going.seems loads more in sausages than lbs.

i personnally don't think exercise plays a huge part on lipotrim.
it makes no difference to my losses whether i drink 2 litres of water or 4 every day.
your body will only lose what it wants to.

just keep thinking how well your doing and i admire you for sticking at it when you're really not happy with what you are losing.

fingers crossed for a bigger loss next week.think you need the boost x

Thanks Joanne, i tink even if i was losing half a lb i wud stick to it just because i wud feel like a failure if i dont make it til the 3rd of dec. Im not expecting to lose much so 2lbs is actually alot coz some times i tink i mite stay the same a few more times which breaks my heart but it mite just happen you know. Im one of them people better to expect nothing than be disappointed i shud really try change that outlook.

Aw, for starters - 2lbs is still great! You're still losing! So don't be discouraged!

You could try changing how much you drink & altering your exercise, but ultimately, it may just be how your body reacts & look, you're in a healthy BMI! Maybe it's only natural it's a bit slower within those parameters?

Don't go off the rails like me, missy!! You're doing SO well & you can lose that with exercise & healthy eating if needs be!

That said, fingers crossed for a big loss next week!!! :) Good luck!

    Awww sweetie *hugest hugs ever*

Firstly woohoo 2lbs is brilliant Anne-Marie! You've not very much to lose and 2lbs is a great loss! Please don't be down about it! Turn that little frown upside down! :)

Honestly, I think you are torturing yourself sweetie. You're focusing too much on the future and this 3rd of December! Try and stop it! Try to take each day as it comes. Focus on the next second, minute, hour! Don't look too far ahead and set yourself deadlines. That way you'll not be as disappointed.

You are sticking to the plan 100% and are doing your very best. That's all you can do. Let's be realistic here, YOU ARE LOSING WEIGHT! not putting it on. You may not be losing as much as you would like BUT you are losing! You expect way too much from yourself. Don't be so critical of you! Give yourself a break please.

You're doing fabulously. Look at what you've lost so far. Look at how good you feel in your clothes. Look at everything you've achieved in such a short space of time. Praise yourself! Be proud.

My advice to you is to forget the date 3rd December and concentrate on today. That's all you can do, and that's perfect.

Chin up sweetie pie. I hate to see you so down. You're a little superstar who has time for everyone. Your advice and support on this board is amazing! I just lubs ya!

    X

I can actually understand your frustration. If it were me I'd be thinking "I'm going without food and living on these shakes and ONLY losing 2lbs a week, I could do that on a regular diet!" So first of all don't beat yourself up about being so disappointed, that's only natural.

The medical professionals tell us that if we eat too little our body will fight to hold onto the fat it has. If we don't drink enough we will retain water. Hmm... interseting points. But here's the thing, remember we were saying the other day that we aren't surviving on fewer calories, only changing the source of those calories, from food to our own fat supplies? Well, when you think of it like that and you consider it takes a calorie deficit of 3500 cals to lose just 1 pound of fat it makes you wonder whether extra exercise may be of use at this point?

You know how I was worrying about being so inactive? Well I don't have a job, and I don't have children. I also don't have a social life (i know i know, get the violins out haha) so really, when I think about it, Im sat on my butt all day and that's no exaggeration. I can easily see myself falling into the 2-3lbs a week category within a few weeks which is why I was thinking about exercise and I'm also wondering if perhaps that might help? You can't deny the maths, calories in vs calories out = weightloss, regardless of the diet and LT is formulated to maximise this calorie deficit.

So... missy, rather than get frustrated about the 3rd of December, why not introduce a little exercise into your week and see how that affects your next loss? Remember to drink more water to compensate though. If at the end of the week the exercise has made no difference then I think you can safely put it down to your body just being stubborn and wanting to hold onto it's reserves, which remember it can do if you have spent years dieting off and on.

Am really hoping you will surprise yourself this next week with a larger loss and I have amazing respect for your determination to carry on regardless of your losses, I don't know I'd have your will power so don't beat yourself up over it.

    Good luck!!!

I knwow I'm not doing lipotrim but I have done it before so I always still have a nose on this forum. Looking at your stats you're only an inch shorter than me but your target is alot lower, maybe you're setting yourself an unreasonable goal! I know that's probably not what you want to hear but maybe it's your bodys way of saying that it's almost at a comfortable weight!

Cookeh! Exercise will make no difference to your losses. I exercise in order to slow my losses down a tad, as I am paranoid about loose skin. I think I am losing too fast, and don't want my skin to be left behind. If you do exercise, then exercise to tone. OK, calories in/calories out, but we are surviving on 450 calories a day, there is a chance our bodies could go into starvation mode which will slow down losses completely. Enjoy relaxing while losing weight! LT requires no exertion!

Brisk walking, light toning or even a vibro is about as much as I would do, if I was you. You may find that you find yourself full of some much energy! Use it, but don't over use it!

Yeah Angela, I have read a bit about 'Body Set Points' Very interesting. Apparently our bodies are set to be a certain weight throughout our lives. We stay at that weight for a while no matter what we eat/drink/exercise. Then our bodies decide to push that set point further, the reason we put weight on. I think we reach a plateau at certain points on our losses (the reason we stay the same, or lose little) It's our bodies way of saying 'Hmmm hold on here, I've reached a set point, I'm comfortable, I think I'll stay here for a while'

It's all quite complicated, and full of hormones and big words, but if you read through it, it does make sense and answers a lot of questions. I haven't explained it properly but it is worth looking up.

Come on ann-marie a loss is still a loss 2lbs is fab i know how you feel you was disappointed with my 2.5lbs loss on monday but keep positive and it is still coming off!! and as others have said you haven't got alot more you need to lose you are already at a good bmi and this could be the reason for slow losses?? maybe you could move your goal date a week or two or is there a special reason for the 3rd of dec?? anyway good luck for next week and stay positive :)

I swear if you were a man i wud marry you you always know wat to say to make me smile. Your so right i didnt even realise it but that date has seriously taken over my life it was a good decision a few weeks ago to set it as a deadline but now it seriously plagues my life.

I used to take every week as it came i decided after my weigh in if i wud continue but now i feel like im locked to that silly date.

I will try stop being hard on myself but unfortunately its prob my biggest downfall ive always expected so much of myself coz as my dad says 'im his last hope' haha! hilarious how little comments build your life isnt it????

i will try take every day at a time as you have said but i tink my stupid brain has taken over an now im in i must complete this in the deadline. haha!

Oh well 2lbs is great coz i know im healthy now and dats all that matters.

Thanks everyone you really are helping me alot. I dont know wat i wud do without you guys. :):flirt2:

Ive started doing exercise hun it isnt helping at all! So dont get yourself aggrevated bout not doin much. The great ting about this diet is you are getting healthier so you will naturally want to exercise. So dont worry wen the time is right you will get out dere and do something active. I dont have much actually any social life haha and in a way its been a blessing on this diet i dont need to keep making excuses for not goin places. Im goin to a halloween party on sat and in a way i tink ill make other people feel uncomfortable coz i wont be drinking or eating but you know wat i thought the hell with it why do i keep tinking about how other people feel they dont give a crap about how i feel so im goin out and gonna have a laugh sober and full of my chocolate shake. Im not putting my life on hold anymore(I was using LT as an excuse not to move on).

Rant over haha! Everything you said about the facts of losing weight are correct ive just accepted that my body just doesnt want to lose fast ive never been this small before so maybe my body just cant be 9 stone. Dont worry about your weight loss i see very good losses in your future. :):):):)

Ah, Anee-marie - well done hun, I know you wanted more but you're 2lb closer to your goal!!
You're lovely and slim now, so your body probably doesn't want to/can't drop in such large amounts but you never know, you may have a big loss coming, as you've had a couple of 2lb'ers.

Still fantastic - just keep thinking how good you feel x x

Thats the thing i didnt set it the pharmacist did. I have been thinking about this its because of your very point that ive decided even if im a stone away from my goal im still stopping at a certain time. Maybe my body just cant be that small.

Im a bit of a weirdo wen i set a goal i keep to it an if i stopped now or early i would feel like a failure i know this is incredibly silly but dats how i see it. I chose 3rd of dec because it meant i have enough time to refeed properly before christmas that was the main reason and i thought that period wud give me enough time to get to goal.

Hey Anne-Marie! Did you hear the news? 3rd December has been canceled, it's off the calender, obliterated!

You can now relax as your deadline no longer exists! Don't you dare pick a new deadline!

Oh and live your life for yourself, not your Daddy or anyone else. Don't make the same mistake I did, and spend half your life trying to please him with no thanks. No one deserves that kind of pressure.
