Weight Loss Journey.. One Day at a time..

Hello Everyone.
I have just started following Slimming World from home. So far I have found it amazing on how much you can eat. But sometimes I do feel I may be eating too much. Just wondered if I could have some helpful feedback from other successful slimmers.

So fat my typical daily menu has been:

Breakfast: Porridge(HEB) and Milk (HEA) and a banana.
Lunch: Salad with new chicken breast and wafer thin honey roast ham.
Dinner: New potatoes, salmon and vegetables.
Snacks: 2 Oranges and Apple.

I drink at least 1.5 Litres of water a day too.

Do I need to use my Syns or can they be saved?


Hopefully I have done well enough to see a decent weight loss this week!!

Sunday 16th January

Today i made some syn free Rice pudding and it is soo yummy! I only had a Cherry Muller light tho, but it tasted delicious.

Breakfast: Mushroom and Spring Onion Omelette with baked beans and a banana. A Cup of tea, with a dash of milk. (0.5 syns)

Lunch: Taster of Cherry Rice Pudding! Yum!

Dinner: Roast Chicken, New potatoes, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Carrots, and a Ladle of Gravy. Unsure of syns

Pudding: Cherry Rice Pudding! Yum!

I don't even feel hungry! Its fantastic!

Monday 17th January

Hey! I hope everyone has had a good day! I felt really positive about today! Hopefully it will be reflected in my W.I later! ;)

Breakfast:
2 Linda McCartney Sausages. 2 syns
2 slices of Bread HEB
1 Level teaspoon of Tomato Sauce 1 syn
2 Cups of tea- 2 dashes of milk HEA
Handful of grapes

Lunch:
Chicken Salad with New Potatoes
Cottage Cheese
2 tablespoons of Creamy Garlic and Herb Dressing 7 syns
Syn Free Rice Pudding
1 Apple

Dinner:
Pork Chop (all fat removed)
Leeks and Spring Onions
Peas
S.W Chips

Snacks:
A Large Fruit salad

Well I stayed the same :( Bit disappointing as i thought i had done really well! :(

Does anyone have any tips for giving you a kick start, ready for next week!?

Tuesday 18th January



Breakfast:
Porridge (HEB)
Milk (HEA)
Banana
Cup of tea with a dash of milk (0.5 Syns)


Lunch:
Chicken salad with cottage cheese, red pepper and radishes.


Dinner:
Sweet Chilli Quorn and Rice (Something i just threw together)
4 Tablespoons of Sweet Chilli Sauce (6 Syns)


Snacks:
Apple
Grapes
Orange x 2
Hot Chocolate x 2 (4 Syns)
1 digestive biscuit (2 Syns)


I feel I have had a pretty good day, felt really positive after yesterday! AND... I know I shouldn't but I weighed myself and have lost a pound! :D Which made me feel even better! I feel excited for next Monday now! ;)

Wednesday 18th January


Breakfast:
3 Linda McCartney Sausages (3 Syns)
2 Slices of Bread (HEB)
1 tbsp of Tomato Sauce. (1 Syn)
Half a grapefruit
1 tsp of sweetner
Banana
Tea with a dash of milk.


Lunch:
Sweet Chilli Quorn pieces (Yesterday's left overs) (6 Syns)
Rice
28g of cheese (6 Syns)
Grapes


Dinner:
Roast Beef (100g) (8 Syns)
Carrots
Cauliflower
Cabbage
2 tbsp of Mashed Potato- Made with 100ml Skimmed Milk (HEA)
Tea with a dash of milk.

Whoops!! 24 Syns today! :eek:
Tomorrow should be a little bit more syn-less!! ;)


I also had a 20 minute walk today! I know it's only small. But it was nice to get out! Can't wait till I can walk to work again... Weight loss here I come!!

Usually when I first start I end up giving up, and it was hard on my 4th day! I just wanted to curl up and cry! But I have stuck to it and I'm determined this time! Hopefully 2011 is my year!!
How have you been finding things?

Thursday 20th January


Breakfast:
Mushroom, spring onion and ham omelette with 28g cheese.(HEA)
Banana
Tea and a dash of milk (0.5 Syns)


Lunch:
Home made pea and Ham soup.
Fat free Yoghurt.


Dinner:
2 slices of wholemeal bread (HEB)
2 pieces of Salmon mashed up with 1 tbsp sauce (3.5 Syns)


Snacks:
Half a melon
Apple
Orange
3 Liquorice Allsorts (3 Syns)
2 Quality Streets (5 Syns)
Hot Chocolate (2 Syns)
Butter (1.5 Syns)

My only advice would be take your home weighing with a massive pinch of salt... I weighed myself a couple of times over the last week and was confident of a decent loss, and only lost 1lb... It can be disheartening, but I won't be beaten!! xx

Keep up the good work and thanks for the advice! I don't like weighing myself as it is. I tend to go off how I feel and how comfortable I feel in my clothes. x

Friday 21st January


Breakfast:

Marmalade (1 Syn)
Half a melon

2 Cups of Coffee with dash of milk (HEA)


Lunch:
Syn free prawn curry and rice
Fat free yoghurt


Dinner:
Scrambled Eggs
2 Linda Mcartney Sausages (2 Syns)
Bacon (Fat removed)
Beans


Snacks:
Apple
6 Liquorice Allsorts (6 Syns)


I've decided to change my weigh in to a Saturday Morning... So I hope I have lost a bit of weight but I know I have no had a full week so if I have not... It will not beat me!! :)

You should only weigh yourself once a week. Also you need to have your syns. They are there for a reason - so that you don't feel deprived!

Thanks for the advice! I am only weighing myself once a week now. And I feel much better now that I am having my Syns!

Well as it is a Saturday Morning.. I have just stepped on the dreaded scales and to my surprise I have lost 2lbs! Woo Hoo I am so happy with that!

Apple

Dinner:
SW chips
Home made Burgers
Steamed Vegetables


Snacks:
3 x Liquorice Allsorts (3 Syns)
2 x Cookies (4 Syns)
3 x Malibu and Coke's (12 Syns)

Still feeling really good today. Popping out later to see a friend! Hope everyone else is having a good weekend!! :)

Sunday 23rd January


Breakast:
2 slices of toast (HEB)
Butter (2 Syns)
Marmite
Apple
Milk in tea (HEA)


Lunch:
Roast Chicken
Carrots
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Roast Potatoes (done like SW chips.. Yum!)
Gravy made with a stock cube and water.

Dinner:
Home Made Tomato Soup (See Below)
Home made Meringues with Bananas and Low Fat Custard(4 Syns)


Snacks:
Hot Chocolate (2 Syns)
6 x Liquorice Allsorts (6 Syns)


In my tomato soup there was:
2 x tins of tomatoes (one with garlic)
1 x tin of baked beans
2 x onions
3 x carrots
2 x peppers
salt and pepper
sprinkle of chilli powder
300ml of stock.

You could put anything in, i was just using what is left in my fridge. What with it being the end of the month the fridge is looking very empty. At least i will get a few meals out of the soup.

I also made the meringues with splenda instead of sugar. 4tbsp of splenda to one egg white. They were nice, but i dont think i left them in the oven for long enough.

So far so good!! :D

Monday 24th January


Breakfast:
2 x Apples
2 x Banana's
1 x Orange
Tea with milk (HEA)


Lunch:
Tomato soup from yesterday.
Hot Chocolate (2 Syns)


Dinner:
Cottage pie: Potatoes, Carrots onions and extra lean mince.
28g Cheese (6 Syns)
2 x Alpen light bars (HEB)
Hot Chocolate (2 Syns)
2 cookies (7 Syns)


Felt a bit under the weather today so didn't really feel like much. Plus not much left in as it being the end of a really lonnnnggg month!!!! Roll on payday!
