i'm on SS and week one lost 5 pounds ( had one meal on new year so was quite pleased)

week 2 - no cheating.. lost nothing ?


I wondered what your thoughts were because I lost more on slimming world in my first 2 weeks and was eating meals!! It seems like a lot to go through for not much loss. I'm gutted I lost nothing.. gutted.

Hi there,

When did you have the meal, before the plan or at the end of week 1?

As if you had the meal at the end of week 1, you would have put glycogen and fluid back on overnight, then getting back on track you have to lose what you have put on. If I come off the plan for a meal or somethng similar I can gain 3lbs over night, Then it takes a few days to get that back off.

If you have stuck to it 100% dont worry overall you will have lost (and lost fat), as your body can only survive by burning fat when doing ss. So you may be retaining fluid. Drink plenty of water and I am positive you will get a good result at your next WI. Your body has no option but to lose weight. x
