If you were like me and afraid of the scales, what did you think you weighed? Where you shocked when you first decided to do something about it and stood on the scales - I got my gym instructor to weigh me but not tell me he wrote it down on my card, it was weeks before I could look at it. I thought I was around 15st when infact I was just over 21st - is it just me that was in denial? So that I never get this big again, when I reach goal I will weigh myself at least monthly, so the weight wont creep (yea right gallop more like) back on

I am another one who had no surprise. I had just made excuse after excuse, justifying my excess weight with a list of" not my fault" reasons.

I am ashamed to say I have put some back on using waiting for a hospital appointment as my excuse.........how bl00dy pathetic is that ???

It is only a few kilos but I feel enormous, strange as at this weight on the way down I felt almost sylph like.........

I think I just bought baggy size 20 clothes when in reality I was a size 24, I was having a clear out on the weekend and found some size 18 trousers, they had a hair elastic looped thru the button hole so i could stretch it over the button so I was still wearing a size 18 (even though they obv didn't fit!!) Shove a baggy top on and no one will know - yea right- it was just me that didn't "know" :(

OOOH I stepped on my scales when I started SW at home, 19st9lbs it said... thought "ok fair enough" lets get on with it... it wasn't until I started losing weight that I began to question the scales as I just knew I wasn't as small as they said -seeing photos of people on here at "my weight" made me sure my scales were wrong as they looked much smaller.
I went and got new scales -got on and was over 3st heavier
I could have cried if it wasn't for the fact that I was well into my weight loss. So I had to reset all my statistics -I have sent back the scales as they weren't cheap and Im still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer  -they are lucky I didn't insert them somewhere :p

I think that because I was so big it was easy to fool myself that I wasn't THAT fat -only as I lost did I have to face it..
Still at least it didn't derail me and now Im just over 3st away from target :D
