What have you achieved in 2012?

2012 has been pretty life changing for me and I imagine it has been for a few of you too. I thought I would start this thread to see what amazing, wonderful, inspiring things we have ALL achieved this year. (Thanks to sididd for the thread idea!)

Here's mine:-

I gained higher level teaching assistant status.

I then started uni to train as a teacher.

My baby started school and I made the conscious decision not to have any more children (heartbreaking but necessary for me)

I lost over 4 stones.

I started laser tattoo removal to get rid of a tattoo I've despised for years.

It's a whole new me.


Now lets hear how you've changed!.......

I raeched goal for the first time in my life.

I have maintained my weight loss (near enough! I'm 7 lbs higher than I'd like)

I fitted into a hotel bathrobe.

I got into exercise (much to my surprise!) and now work out hard 4 times a week

I did a sit up!

I inspired my dad and my sister to lose weight too.

I started rock climbing.

I wore lots of size 10 clothes!

I got a new job.


More importantly than all of the things above I've had a great year, feel really happy, my relationship is in a great place and I look forward to the future with enthusiasm and a smile on my face.

I started a new job, same company but new role in management that I thought I wouldn't be able to do on my own and started as a job share but am now doing it on my own and doing OK.

My daughter graduated from uni

My youngest son started school

I lost the weight I wanted to lose (well all but 0.5lb as of this morning)

I celebrated and survived my 40th birthday!

I got married

currently pregnant

My mum is finally settled after years of emotional turmoil which is lovely to see.

I became a Godmother

Came into a small bit of cash that cheered me up!

Got to the lightest I had been since my teens!!

Recognised and have taken responsibility for my yo yo dieting and accepted that I will always need to be on a restricted diet and that I am okay about that!!!!
Stopped regretting I didn't do this BEFORE my 40th birthday!!! LOL!

Got back into the "9s" after hovering around in the "11s" for too long.

Got promoted at work, has taken 9 years!

Bought a new car

Went to Florida

I finally felt confident naked!

I quit my job and got another

I bought topshop size 12s!!

I fell even more on love with my OH!

I realised that ill always have to be good to stay slim! I am not blessed with skinny genes and nor do I want to be!

Ahh yes 2012:

I got promoted to the manager job
My boy started school
I lost just over 4.5st in weight
I met Sarah, mi (pronounced mee! ) lady (thought I better get in there before she comes and do a Zoe! )
I bought a treadmill
I bought size 12 tops from River Island!
I met them 2 up there (posts above mine!) Dont comment much but they do make me laugh and I am a keen follower!

Hit myTW january

Got an increase at my job

Daughter graduated college and start grad school

Stayed consistent with Yoga and walking

Recovered from serious pneumonia; recovering from limiting shoulder tendonitis (drug side effect)

Returned to Dukan, Yoga, and walking to lose the little bit gained since illness

Am back at it!

I reached my target and passed it, losing 3lbs short of 6 stone
got Ito size 12s.... Never been a 12 since I was a teenager lol
I wore a bikini for the first time in 20 years when I was in the south of France
I now have a very serious dress addiction lol
