When to join

Hi Everyone I have been a SW member and reached target but I stopped going to group I was sure I could continue at home but in the last year ive gained back half the weight I had lost :-(
I am definitely going to rejoin but im not sure whether to join before Christmas or to wait until the beginning of January.
What would everyone else do xx

I'd re-join before & give you motivation over the Christmas period in what can be a difficult time SW wise. And you won't have the 'blow it' I'm rejoining attitude over Christmas if you wait. But at the end of the day it's your choice, what are your thoughts?
 
I have friends coming over the next few weeks and we usually have a lot to drink when they visit xx im thinking of rejoining the first week of January and then I can start fresh xx

I'd rejoin ASAP, while you're in the mindset. I know Christmas may not be an easy time and it's very rare that any of us are 100% on plan over the festive period, but if you're back at group and back on plan it might encourage you to make more sensible choices and not totally blow it.

Or the other option is to carry on as you are. Have the usual blow out at Christmas whilst SW falls to the back of your mind. And come January rather than half of the weight you lost being put back on, it could be a hell of a lot more!

Also, I found this poem online. And I know I definitely wouldn't want to feel the way the narrator feels come January. This might inspire you...

Twas the month after Christmas,
and all through the house,

It depends whether you are happy to learn about the current plan before Christmas and then swap to the new one after Christmas, or would prefer to wait for the new one.
 
I'm in the same dilemma.
i was going to join now but if there's going to be a new plan in January, now I'm not sure

I've decided to start now.
No point adding on weight now while I wait, it'll only make things worse.
Plus I'd get a real buzz from starting the year lighter than I am now!
