((( ))) sorry you feel like you wasted your 20's hun. make the same promise as I did to my self your 30's are gonna be different then sit down and think about all the things you want out of life and right them down and plan how you are gonna get them.
I have a vision board as my desk top which is basically pictures of things I want to achieve. I also have a cork board with it on to because it was part of a course I did but I don't display it cause I use my laptop more so I see it everyday.
your 30's will be different hun if you make them so. good luck hun

ps just noticed on your sig hun your first target is 22lbs away maybe making your target smaller will help you keep on track. I aim for each half stone

I want to see the world, have children, settle, have fun instead I have (not complaining as lucky in one sence ) I have a full time job, own a flat and with someone who doesnt want it all.
First step for me is to lose weight .. the board sound like a great idea xxx

I have very similar feelings to you LouiseElectric, I'll be 30 this year and my 20's have disappeared and I don't know where! I guess all we can do is make the 30's so much better.:D

I am double your age (64) in a couple of weeks - and I ask myself every day where have all the years gone, it's seems just yesterday when I celebrated my 21st, got married, had my 2 children etc, etc.......

I still feel 21 in the head, unfortunately the body doesn't agree with me, LOL.....

I'm 60 in a few months and the time seems to be flying by! BUT never think that you have wasted any of your life! All those frogs will give you the experience to recognise the Prince when he finally gets to you! Losing your weight will give you a goal, but will not change your life per se (get me !) but you will feel better in yourself and this will project more of your personality. Make a short list of things you want to do, they needn't be complicated, and try to achieve one of them (at least) by the end of the year. Then tick it off and experience how much satisfaction you feel. If you concentrate on getting these things done and you aren't looking for a man, then you will soon land one! I tripped over mine at a bustop at 10.00pm in Edinburgh 39 years ago!
Has your mother ever said "youth is wasted on the young?" Mine did and I thought she was puddled. Now I'm 59 I know what she means! If only I could go back to 30 and know what I know now! Good luck Huney!

Lovely Laura - heres to our 30's
Donnie - I feel about 16 in my head body says other wise while carry this extra person weight.

Judimac - No my mother didnt say that but I feel like that now if i had known things i know now I would have done things different.

I think I have my prince I met him in a bar after months trawling the internet ..I think I need someone to tell me its not all about the material things its about someone just loving and caring for you even if they have there ways ..

I will make a list I dont think losing my weight will change my life but it willstop me from holding back and hiding ..

Hi - another 'where did my twenties go?' person here!

Will be 33 in the summer and when I look back, all i did in my twenties (apart from Uni etc) was worry about my weight and yo-yo from one diet to another!

I'm hoping that my thirties will be my new twenties but only I can change that - I have the power (rubbish He-Man impression coming on!!!!)

Ps. Am with you on the 'bad men' front - got several t-shirts to prove it - sooo much easier once you get married lol!!! :D

Hi my 20's and 30's are behind me!! I think you have been given some very good advice. All I would add is that you need a plan. I was very unhappy at 30 and felt like I was just drifting along so I decided what I wanted split it into small steps and made a plan on how I was going to achieve it. Took me another 8 years to tackle my weight though!

My 20s were a bit of a blur too! I got married when I was 28 and had Daughter 5 days after my 30th...was a bit miffed, as she was due on the 12th, but didnt make an appearance until the 23rd...Hmmmm. I wanted to say that I had my little on in my 20s but that never happend! Lol
Now Im rapidly approaching 35, but Im loving my 30s! Im wiser (well a little bit I think!), but Im enjoying my life, rather than fretting about my looks and how people judge me.

i just wanted to chuck my 2 pence in..

im 18, and i can promise you, you certainly dont want to be back here! lol

- Granted, i have all the time in the world.. but i dont have all of the life lessons behind me that you guys do.. so although you may look back now and think of it differently.. as already said.. just keep looking forward and using those life lessons to make the time you have right here and now what you'v always wanted it to be..

im gunna spend the next 10 years figureing out what i want it to 'be' and then be like.. ah flip.. LOL

the time may have gone, but it wasnt wasted. Enjoy now. xxx

I'm 52 but I don't feel too bad about it. I like making changes in my life every now and then, I like to try new things and enjoy new types of music, or learn new stuff. I think of myself as a "work in progress", so I haven't left anything behind - Every day I'm adding to what I am.

I never have regrets, if i hadnt of done the things that i have done i wouldnt be the person i am today.
I do wonder where the time has gone, but i loved my 20's,i was young free and single in my late teens early 20's and partied and holidayed with my girlfriends.
I met my hubbie when i was 22, married at 25 and had my first baby at 29.
Im now 35. I gained my weight during and after pregnancy, although keeping my weight at a healthy level has always been a struggle.
My goal is to be fit happy and healthy well before i reach my 40's
