    Just wondering really...

    Which do you think is easier;

Living alone and therefore not having anyone to cook for but having boredom to stave off all of the time...

    OR

Living with a family and having to cook for them but at the same time being constantly distracted by family life?

probably the 1st one would be easier.

I hate having to cook dinner for bf and dd...i try and do it as quick and poss then disappear and let them clean up.

boredem would get to me but then again if there wasnt food around for me to munch on i wouldnt do it , there is food in the fridge constantly here because everyone else eats so temptation is always there but i just distract myself if it kicks in

I suppose the grass is always greener. My hardest time is when I'm in the house on my own on an evening.

I have sat in the office when everyone has ordered fish and chips and been fine with my shake. I have been out to a Chinese restaurant for a birthday and survived just fine on black coffee

It's the boredom and loneliness that does me in ( how billy-no-mates do I sound? Can you hear the violins?)

By the same token being around food and resisting is totally different to having to actually cook for a family - I don't envy anyone that task

    xx

Me too Toots, my husband works weird shifts for Royal Mail, so I'm alone every evening. I used to fill the time watching TV and munching. Hence having to do LT!
I find it most difficult from 8pm onwards.
I often log on here and another forum about Kefalonia (our fave holiday place)
It helps to pass the time and MMs keeps me going! :thankyou:

i'm in the middle, live with keith, but he cooks for himself. although i do cook and prepare meals for my old biddies. I find that ok mostly, although at first i found it hard.

i think its harder in the beginning if you have to face food every day, but i think as time goes on, its prob the same either way as you become detetched from food...

On your own fo' sure - I have so much respect for people who have to cook for family while on LT... muchos kudos !

As for boredom... you're never bored with porn ;) However I've now joined a gym to flex other muscles than the one men tend to think with :D

I find i am half way between both..as i am a single parent... so during the day i cook and buy food and yes, i am distracted! But, if i get stressed with the kids i used to reach for food..so stoping this was hard.
Also after 730 i have the bordem factor as i dont have a partner so for 5 hours i am just pondering and keeping myself busy.
This was also another time i used to eat and i find it very hard at nights to keep my mind occupied.. i am not hungry just very bored!!! God, i need a man lol but, i think he would be dead from keeping me occupied hahahahaha
So i believe they are both as hard as each other in there own individual way

I'm with Nic I think they are both hard in different ways.

I have no problem now shopping for and cooking food for the children and OH but did find it hard at first, the smells!!!!!!

I find posting on here makes the evenings go very quickly and I get through lots of water. Poor OH feels a tad neglected at times!

    I think alone actually.

I strugle when my OH isn't here to take my mind of it - which has been fine this week, as he's on earlies but next week he's on lates - so, that may be the test!!

I've been cooking for him this week and that's been fine, apart from not being able to taste it and if I spill something, my reasction is to stick it in my gob!!

This is my 6th week of living alone and started CD SS on day one. I've found it easier to have no food in the house and go to the gym, out for a walk or spend time on here.

I wouldn't be able to do it if I lived alone. I enjoy cooking and serving food, and need my bf here to perk me up when I get down. I find it nearly impossible to resist when Paul's out.
