White coating

Hi

I was going to poach some pears and make them look like ghosts. Any ideas if there is anything I can to coat them with (like yoghurt coating) that will make them go white and hard?

What about meringue? Have never covered fruit in meringue and baked before but could be worth a try

Perhaps a low fat cream cheese and a bit of no fat yogurt to loosen it a bit?
