    Hi folks, :)

I am going to my first class on Thursday, starting that evening is my plan! I know from before when I did LL and from the forum that I am likely to experience the carb withdrawl (caffeine not really my thing anyway) and headaches etc for the first few days. My dilemma is this - on Monday (which will be day 4) I am in court all day with a really awful case (I am a social worker). I am going to be cross examined by two incredibly nasty barristers and the hearing is likely to take all day and possibly the next too. How am I going to be feeling on day 4? Will I manage? Or am I likely to feel too weak or dodgy to get thru this?

I REALLY don't want to delay starting anymore by waiting until the hearing is over. And to be fair I'm in court quite a lot at the mo (although not all my cases are as awful as this one).

    Any words of wisdom?

    Loula xx

Sounds like it will be a tough day Loula but try and think positively and if you can get through that on day 4 then you can get through anything on the rest of your journey.

Also think of the fact that your mind will be very preoccupied so fingers crossed you won't have too much time on your hands to think of eating.

I felt fine on day 4 and you may have just gone into ketosis which generally gives you a feeling of well being.

If you find that you tend to "stress eat" in the evening when you have had a stressfull day then plan what you can do to give yourself a treat instead of f**d, such as a lovely bubbly bath with a good book.

Hope this helps but I wouldn't put starting LL off as there will always be stressful days and situations especially on your job and you will have achieved so much as and when you get through it.

Thanks for your replies guys! Susiana - your weight loss is amazing! I have decided I am going to go for it. I am going to ask if I can have a bar to take to court with me as won't be able to mix up shakes - am i right in thinking you can't have bars your first week? I was hoping that I would be able to so at least I can stay on the programme. I figured that if i cut out carbs tomorrow and thursday hopefully my carb withdrawl won't be too bad and I can get into ketosis in time for court. And yes, POllyY - lots of wee breaks will be required!! xx

    Hi Loula
We were allowed bars from day 4, so that fits perfectly!
Good luck with it - hope it's not as stressful as you're thinking it may be x

    Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that you're not generally allowed to have bars at all in your first week at all although your LLC may allow you one for this specail occasion. I was really looking forward to exchanging some packs for bars at my pop in but we weren't allowed.

If you don't ask though you don't get though!!

Awww thanks Loula, still have a way to go yet though!

Yes I would ask for the one bar just for that day, as Becks has said some LLC's do let you have bars after 4 days and some don't but make sure you get chance to talk the situation through with your LLC.

Let us know how you get on!

Sorry Becks, I don't think you're right. I was allowed bars after 3 days and everyone else in my group was as well.

I'm fairly certain that generally people on here have all (most) had bars in the first week. I think your LLC may have just got it wrong.

There were no bars allowed in the first week in my group so think it's down to each LLC's discretion.

we were told we could have them after day 4 but my LLC strongly advised against it as she said it would make the first week harder. I'm sure one would be fine though!

My LLC was absolutely lovely and let me have 2 different bars to take to court on Monday (in case I don't like one:p). I've just been having the shakes the rest of the week so far - can't tolerate the soups! My plan for Monday is to have a shake for breakfast, bar at court and then double shake for the evening. Gonna take a sachet of the broth and have that as well at court as I found the broth really fills me up. Not gonna let one rubbish day get in the way of my goals!! Thanks for all your advice guys xx
