Actually a small question for now - how are you supposed to judge how much 3 tbsp of vegetables is?

LOL. Sorry for delay. 3tbs is about 'so much'...(spreads out hand). Difficult to weight as it depends on what food it is.

Use tbls and guestimate a bit. Just don't go too mad cos of the carbs.

Waffle away. I've just 'unofficially' broken up from school. Unofficially as in 'on call', but not teaching. Pressure was intense this last year; thought I was going to explode at times. Such a relief to just have some time to myself.

I'm hoping to be here in about 8 or 9 weeks!
It'll zoom by Bren:) How are you finding 790/810?

I am feeling really down at the moment, I am down to the last few lb and dont seem to be able to shift it... I have joined the gym and although not yet toning so as not to build muscle, it does seem to be playing havoc with my weight loss.... my weight fluctuates wildly from day to day, but I always gain WI day, last week I put on 1lb and this week only likely if I am lucky to lose the same 1lb.... am thinking I should just work up the plans and get off CD as soon as possible, but then another part of me wants to hang on to it, so now I am really getting down as I dont think I will ever reach my original 10 stone goal.... and I will be gaining/losing this 1lb forever.... I am burning around 350 cals a day in the gym.

You're on the 1000 cal plan?

You can't build muscle on the 1000 plan. In fact, it's highly unlikely that you'll build muscle on any calorie allowance that's maintenance or under.

'Toning' is really the way to go though when dieting. Preserving lean mass. Lots of cardio can be self defeating..and of course, plays havoc with the scales ;)

thinking I should just work up the plans and get off CD as soon as possible, but then another part of me wants to hang on to it, so now I am really getting down as I dont think I will ever reach my original 10 stone goal.
Sometimes we can get stuck with a figure in our head can't we. If you can get to it in a nice relaxed manner, all very well, but when it keeps fighting us, sometimes it's a good idea to have a rethink.

Maybe a little less time doing the cardio, and more doing the resistance. Then relax with the plan rather than trying to push it if you know what I mean. Relax as in enjoy it, not cheat on it that is :D

It would be very rare not to lose fat on the 1000, but bodies are weird, especially for us ladies which can make the scales gives false readings.

Will work on a button for you. Actually, perhaps Pierce can make one. He has buttons for everything :D
