Wrong person sent email

#1
Today my best friend asked how much I now weighed so I told her 11st 9lbs. She then sent and email to her daughter in law saying I'd just told her I weigh 11st 9lbs her daughter in law replied oh she might be but she needs to wear tighter stuff so you can see. She then replied but sent it to me saying she's doing my head in going on about how much she's lost I'm eating strawberries she's just had a shack yuck. I don't understand she asked me how much I weighed I've not even mentioned it. I'm confused :-( I'm really upset

Sounds like she's jealous of your loss and that you're doing so well. Maybe she's feeling like your new body will affect your friendship. Mayb. You should confront her about this. It's really awful :(

Oh no thats horrible!

I agree with Tano perhaps it is jealousy? Does she need to lose a little? Perhaps it is making her think about her own weight but shes scared to do anything about it so its easier to poke fun (not nice though!)

Has she realised she sent it to you by accident/has she said anything?

one word for her is JEALOUSY
alot of people cant handle the fact you are loosing weight and looking good,
some people are just bitter and twisted that they just cant be happy for others
try not to let it get to you hun i know its easier said than done and if she cant be happy for you and support you it might be worth considering if she really is worth keeping as a friend!?!?

She's not fat at all she's about 10st and 5ft 6. No she has not said anything I don't think she does know she's sent it to me. I don't know what to say.

I think you should send her a text to let her know she accidently sent you the return e-mail. You should let her know that it's really upset you as she asked you about your diet in the first place. A real friend will be happy for you, not making comments behind your back TT

What a cow! What business is it of hers how much you weigh or what you eat?? I would send an email back along those lines. She's jealous because you might be as slim as her soon!!!

I'd reply to the email saying, 'was this meant for somebody else?' & leave it at that for her to reply with an apology. I'd put a read receipt on as well then you know when she's read it.
That's a good idea I'll do that now thanks x

You poor thing, some people can't help themselves! I work with a woman who is really slim but she hates it that I'm losing, I don't want to sound awful but I'm sure it's because I'm younger and prettier than her and I get attention whenever we go for lunch etc. I think she thinks if I lose weight I'll get more! It's pure jealousy. She's started bringing in cakes and cookies which she's never done before and putting them on my desk!!

You've done the right thing by sending her the email back and letting her know you've read it, it's for her to feel bad about, not you. It's jealousy in what you've achieved!

Let us know how you get on! x x

Maybe that's it as I'm 13 years younger than her and we work in an all male environment and I have a right laugh with the blokes. The boss also keeps asking how's it going and saying he can really tell. She normally flirts with him.

just cause she appears slim to doesn't mean shes happy with herself. i get alot of bad response at work an it can be hard work but i try not to let it bother me cause i'm losing weight (well most of time) and thats all that matters. i think dn't understand cd so they critise it. to be fair a year ago i wouldn't of considered it and thought people where starving themself(not that i'd say it) but what i'm trying to say is people only judge you from there expriences and because they haven't done cd they asume you are straving. don't worry about it people are always gonna have a opinion thats ok cause if you are happy thats all that matters.

I'm sorry you get a lot of bad responses at work it's not fair. Were doing it because we want to. It makes me laugh people say nasty stuff because your over weight when you start doing something about it your still in the wrong. I've learnt over the years I'm actually normal and if they don't like it it's there problem and they can deal with it without involving me :)

Toptooty - what happened in the end? Did she apologise for what she'd said about you when she realised that you knew? Hope so x x
