I'm in the same boat..... but what keeps me going is the fact that its not forever!!! I am 30 in September and i'm going away.... i just keep thinking..... 5/6 weeks of hard work and then i can go away.... feeling better about myself and thats what motivates me!!!

i think whats really playin on my mind is that theres a patient at work, whos had a really bad stroke, n will never return to her former self. Shes not even at retirement age and the change in her life from what it was before, to what it is now, is so drastic, its really got under my skin, its so so sad, im kinda in limbo, thinkin is this really worth it? lifes too short to not do the things you enjoy......thing is, i enjoy eatin n i anyjoy bein slim! so how do i win? lol

Oh it's so heart breaking to hear about these poor people who have been dealt such a devastating blow. But I suppose we must realise how lucky we are that WE can still change our future to a better one. Once we lose the weight then it is time to re educate ourselves and I bet we will end up loving eating healthy and keeping slim will be easier - well easier said than done maybe!!! But at least we can try. X

my other worry is, im losin weight on my face and shoulders n not the places i need to, someone told me i look "gaunt" in the face today! thats the 3rd person to tell me that! yet i still have a flabby stomach, huge hips and thunder thighs lol worried i have this pre conceived image in my head of how i want to look, n actually, im not sure if its achievable.
And i think to myself, im moanin about my shape n size when other people are a lot worse off.

Man im just pickin at things n moanin arent i? think ive just gone a bit bonkers tonight, so far no cigarettes today, think thats what it is lol

My mum also has diabetes and has recently lost 3 stone and come off all but one of her medications. Proof that it is weight related and i don't want to follow the same path where i only do something when it's too late.

my weight loss now is all about vanity, ill admit that. Not being happy with the way i look, my shape etc. I "think" goin off my bmi im still classed as overweight, but bmi isnt the most accurate indicator, it doesnt take a lot of things into account. If anythin i need to build muscle, as my body fat percentage is still high at 37%

But my weight as it stands isnt posing me health problems, as i said earlier, its a pure vanity thing

I think we have to be true to ourselves, we're not happy being overweight so if we have to make a few sacrifices along the way, its worth it to be slim and healthy for life. As for people saying youre gaunt, theyre just insecure and like making people feel bad. As for your '' friend'', she should be happy that youre trying to make a good change in yourself. Dont let the saboteurs get to you, we've been sabotaging ourselves long enough besides letting other people get to us. No harm in doing this for vanity as well, we all want to look and feel good. Keep going on your journey, youre doing great xx

People only think you look bad being skinny cause they may never have seen you any other way for a long time and sometimes never. Once they get used to it they will think differently. Xx

I just want to be able to pick something of the shelf in my size and know it fits like all of my thinner friends do. The don't understand that when you get a bit bigger you might need to try on 3 different sizes to see which one fits...such a pain in the ass.

Same here. My bmi is about 26 but I look overweight - bmi is really not accurate at all tbh, it depends on your shape and everything.
And I hear ya about the socialising!! It's ridiculous how many parties etc I've had to avoid :(.
When I come off this I'm buying a loaad of clothes and partying lol! x
