    I know most people have a soft spot for Mr Darcy but Mr Rochester from Jane Eyre has always been my perfect man...what about you guys, do you have a fave character?

    In the Classics it's the lady herself - Jane Eyre I think - although I swoon at Mr Rochester a little (especially when they're talking in the garden after Mason is rushed to the Drs)....
    Modern - well that would be The Fool/Amber/Lord Golden (Beloved) from Robin
    Hobb's Farseer/Liveship and Tawney Man books (all one character) - I just love him/her:D

    Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind - the ultimate super-*****!

    I even named my daughter after her, though hopefully she won't turn out to be a *****!

    For me the classic man would be Hamlet (well it is Shakespeare Day after all)
    Modern man would be Belgarath from the fantasy series Belgaraion and Mallorean

    As for the women;
    I can't really think of any I have fallen in love with, or gone "you go girl"

    My favourite character of all time is Frodo Baggins, but he's not a man he's a hobbit.
