    Hi I'm Em and this is my calorie counting diary. I am 23 and 14 stone. The problem is that I eat too much, I also dont drink enough (which is half of the problem). I typed my info into mfp and it says that I need 1350 calories which is what I am aiming for. Wish me luck!!

    So far today I have had

    Breakfast: Small Costa skinny latte (88)
    Snack: Small Apple (80)
    Lunch: Heinz chicken & sweetcorn soup (242)
    Wholemeal hovis slice (111)
    Snack: 28g Brazil nuts (190)

    So that leaves 639 for my dinner today which im not sure what to have ...

    So this evening went well. I really fancied sprouts so made this concoction for dinner.

    King prawns and smoked salmon in a thai marinade with sprouts, butter nut squash and sweet potato (525)

    I went on the wii fit for the first time in ages and learnt that I am classed as obese, which is ridiculous, I definitely need to get my backside into gear pronto! On the plus side I burnt 233 calories!

    I am not adding burnt calories back to my allowance for now so for this evening I have 114 left for a couple of clementines and a cuppa tea. Happy Wednesday everyone!!

    I stayed on track again today :)!

    Breakfast: A gingerbread latte (86)
    Snack: Apple (80)
    Lunch: Leftovers from yesterdays dinner (400)
    Snack: Costa small skinny latte (88)
    Dinner: Chicken pasta with tomatoes and mushrooms (607)

    Im left with 89 calories which I will carry forward to tomorrow as im off to pizza hut for lunch, still going to make the better choices though! :)

    I know, I really dont want to go but friends have invited me and I want to see them lol. Im going to try really hard and plan what I'm going to have before I get there and not go off the rails afterwards. I have a tendency to go oh sod the diet then and give up. Im determined to do well this time. Are you calorie counting and how are you doing? X

    I have just had a look and they do 500 kcal pizzas ... perfect!!x

    So I survived pizza hut! According to mfp what I had was only just under 700 calories and it was two small slices of chicken pizza with pasta and mixed salad including coleslaw. I feel very pleased with myself and I still have calories left for a small dinner :)

    You sound like you're focused and doing well! I've been calorie counting for quite a while too- I've lost about 6 stone but sort of maintained for the last half of last year and am back on it to try and shift the last stone or 2!

    I swear by mfp as well- it's great for keeping track & knowing what you have left to use. At the moment my body is still in shock at the drop in calories and I'm constantly hungry but hoping that changes soon.

    Your diet is looking good, do you not like eating breakfast or is that to do with time if you don't mind me asking?

    You have done amazing to loose that much weight, thats fantastic. Any secrets? :) To be honest with you im not sure what to eat for bteakfast. Breads not good, cereals have a lot of sugar, I dont really have time for anything cooked so I just dont bother lol. Any advice is happily received :) x

    I try to eat breakfast otherwise I'll find myself starving and just grab any rubbish! What do you like? Porridge is great in winter, sometimes I have muesli with fruit and yoghurt or milk, toast, boiled egg...... Lots of different options!

    Thanks, I don't have a lot of tips, just keep doing what you're doing. I think once your head is in the right place and something clicks I won't say its easy but not as hard as it seems. A meal or night out that takes you over your calories doesn't mean you've ruined your week or day, just get straight back to it after and you can still lose. I try and drink 2 litres of water a day and eat a bit healthier but also don't deprive yourself. Have chocolate or whatever you fancy within your calories.

    I think my name is the same on mfp if you want to add me. I've only been back on track since mon but already seeing a wee difference on the scales with my sneaky peeks!!

    Aww thankyou. My day has gone surprising well actually. Breakfast was an apple nutri-grain and a white coffee (149), lunch was my pizza hut (681), dinner was a small broccoli and cheese pasta pot thing which I added some smoked salmon to and two ryvitas with a blue cheese triangle (522). So even after my pizza I still only went over my calorie allowance by 2 :). What about you? X

    Sounds good! I think that's the great thing that you can eat out and still stay within your cals, impressive at Pizza Hut tho!

    I love the 500 cal pizzas at pizza express.

    Days been pretty good, had a fuller longer meal from marks and Spencer's tonight. It was really tasty and I've still got quite a few calories left if I fancy something nice later on.

    I had breakfast today (go me!) I had egg and soldiers :) off for a swim this morning and a long walk with the dog this afternoon. Will update the calories later, have a great weekend! :)

    So yesterday didnt go as well as planned. After breakfast I didnt end up going swimming but I did go on a three hour walk with the dog. I went out for lunch, we went to ask and I had a seafood pasta half portion with a side salad. So I left for a meal over a friends with 653 calories left from my daily allowance which I certainly went over. Dinner was chicken stirfry with rice which wasnt too many calories but desert was rich chocolate pudding which was lovely but not good for the diet!

    Todays a new day though and im going to start it with a trip to the gym! Have a good day guys x

    To be honest I think your 3 hour walk would more than compensate for the pudding! As long as you enjoyed it.

    Yes it was lovely and the first real treat in a while! I woke up late today and went to the gym for the first time in agees!! I really enjoyed it and am going to make it a regular occurrence. Skipped breakfast but have just eaten a tin of plumb tomatoes on toast for lunch leaving lots of calories left for a roast round the inlaws tonight, can't wait!x

    Try not to worry... that wasn't too horrific for a bad day :). We've all got to have one or two days a week where we're a little bit less strict because it makes it easier to stick to in the long run. Like you said, today is a new day, and you can get back on it.
