    Hi all

    Joined Slimming World on the 2nd February and I must say...what a brill diet! Ive always done weightwatchers...and yes it does work, but I often went to bed hungry and I never saw it as 'life changing' like I do with slimming world.
    I totally agree with the quote in the handbook 'THE 7 DAYS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER'!

    Anyway, I lost 4lbs in my first week, wahoooo :D but then gained 1.5lbs in my second week much to my disappointment :confused:

    I've enjoyed reading through peoples diaries for recipe ideas and thought I would start one my self...so here goes :)


    EXTRA EASY

    THURSDAY 17TH FEB
    Breakfast
    2 egg Omelette with Bacon (all visible fat removed) & Onion with beetroot

    Lunch
    Batchelors Mild Cheese n Broccoli Past n Sauce (0.5 syns)
    Bowl of Strawberries, blueberries & Kiwi fruit

    Dinner
    Iceland Lamb Slices in a mint gravy with mash potato (no butter or milk), carrots and mushy peas.

    Snacks
    2 x Alpen light Choc n Fudge Bars
    Nectarine, Banana, Tangerine & Kiwi

    Drinks
    2 Litres Water
    2 Cups of Tea with sweetener n skimmed milk
    1 glass of skimmed milk

    HEA: Milk
    HEB: 2 x Alpen Light Bars

    SYNS: Pasta n Sauce 0.5


    FRIDAY 18TH FEB
    Breakfast
    2 egg Omelette with beetroot

    Lunch
    Bacon Rosti (from last months mag) with lettuce & beetroot
    Bowl of Raspberries

    Dinner
    My own rice concoction...basmati rice, with egg scrambled into it, chicken, mushrooms, sweetcorn, garlic, onions n soy sauce...DELICIOUS!!

    2 x Alpen light Choc n Fudge Bars
    Chicken Mug Shot
    Apple

    Drinks
    2 Litres Water
    2 Cups of Tea with sweetener n skimmed milk

    2 x tangerines, Activia Snackpot Strawberry

    2 Litres Water
    2 Cups of Tea with sweetener n skimmed milk
    2 large glasses of hot water n sliced lemon

    HEA: Milk
    HEB: 2 x Weetabix

    SYNS: 1/2 Curly Wurly 3
    Old El Paso fajita mix 2
    tsp Extra Light Mayo 1


    TUESDAY 22ND FEB
    Breakfast
    3 Rashers of Bacon, Activia Snackpot Raspberry and chopped banana

    Lunch
    2 quorn sausages, mash potato & beans
    Bowl of strawberries, tangerine, grapes & blueberries

    Dinner
    Homemade Special -
    Chicken breast, flattened. Grill then dip in beaten egg and coat in breadcrumbs (1 slice of wholemeal bread grated) then bake in oven till crispy.
    Mix 4 tbsp quark with 21g Low Fat Cheese and spread on top then sprinkle with rest of cheese (21g) and grill till the cheese has melted! Absolutley gorgeous :)
    Served with Syn Free Chips and Salad...and homemade Garlic Mayo (0.5 syns)

    French toast with blackberries, pineapple & blueberries for dessert, yum yum!

    Snacks
    2 x Tangerine & Kiwi

    Drinks
    2 Litres Water
    1 large glass of hot water n Sliced Lemon

    HEA: 42g Low Fat Eat Smart Cheddar
    HEB: 3 slices of WW Brown Danish (breadcrumbs n french toast)

    SYNS: Tsp Ex Light Mayo used in the homemade garlic mayo


    Its my weigh-in tonight, and i'm feeling quite excited...so fingers crossed :)

    Any comments/feedback will be much appreciated

    I must say, today is the first day i've felt like the diet is really working for me...feel so much better!!
    Yeah someone mentioned them in class last week, and i thought they sounded delicious...but a bit too good to be true...but i have double checked it online...and to my delight they are freeeeeee! You get loads of slices in a pack aswell and the gravy is to die for, mmmmmm!

    Hope everyones good :) Really pleased with my 2lb loss last night...feel raring to go today, despite a grey drizzly day!!

    Anyway, yesterdays food diary goes something like this...

    WEDNESDAY 23RD FEBRUARY
    Breakfast
    Cheese and onion omelette (28g Low Fat Cheese & 2 eggs) with Lettuce and 1 tsp of Extra Light Mayo mixed with fat free natural yoghurt

    Sweet n Sour Mugshot (1st try of these...definitely my fave!)
    Bowl of 2 x Kiwi, Blackberries & Blueberries

    Dinner...after weigh-in (as usual)
    The Famous SW KFC style Chicken with Syn Free Chips and Salad with homemade garlic mayo.

    Kiwi & Galaxy Ripple (heavenly!!)

    Drinks
    1 Litre Water
    1 cup of tea

    HEA: Only 28g Low Fat Eat Smart Cheddar plus dash of milk in 1 cup of tea

    Your diary looks great lots of variety and you actually reminded me to put mugshots on my shopping list for today!

    Well done on your loss so far. I re-starting SW on Tuesday after trying out other diets and SW is defaintely the best. Like you said you never go hungry like with other diets.

    Well...after vowing to stay off alcohol till the end of March...my arm was twisted sat night, and ended up getting trollied!!
    However, i was fairly good...at least i didnt end the night at the pizza shop.
    Anyway, other than that i was on track food-wise....

    SATURDAY 26TH FEBRUARY

    Breakfast
    2 x Morrisons Eat Smart Sausages with tomato ketchup. Bowl of blackberries

    Lunch
    3 rashers of bacon (trimmed fat off) 1 egg scrambled and beans
    Syn free pancakes with chopped banana, strawberries & blackberries

    Dinner
    Chicken breast in breadcrumbs topped with quark and grated cheese with jacket potato (with lurpak lighter) lettuce, cucumber and tbsp heinz light salad cream.

    Snacks
    None

    Drinks
    1 Litre Water
    Alcohol...lots of it. Roughly 1 and half bottle of Echo Falls Rose and several triple vodkas and full fat lemonade, oh dear, oh dear!!

    HEA: 42g Low Fat Cheese
    HEB: 2 x Wholemeal Bread (for breadcrumbs)

    SYNS: Alcohol - LOTS!!!

    Oooo, im excited for tonights weigh-in. Apart from Sat nights alcohol binge ive stuck to plan...so i'm hoping for a pound loss :)

    Made the most amazing quiche last night (my first attempt)...was well impressed with myself. It looked bloody awful, till i checked the fridge this morning.
    Wish i'd have taken a photo now to show you all.

    Well, i feel terrible today. Had a car accident yesterday (not my fault), and in terrible pain with my back n shoulder :-(
    Had a blow out on Saturday night, so just felt bloated all day yesterday...wasnt too hungover, so managed to stick to plan.
    Plus its *week, so im not looking forward to WI on weds :-(

    FRIDAY 4TH MARCH

    Bacon & Beetroot on 2 slices of Wholemeal Bread (small 400g loaf) 1 side spread with Lurpak Lighter Butter.

    Leftover Chilli and pasta
    Bowl of Strawberries & Kiwi Fruit

    Dinner
    Smash Pizza with mushrooms, onion and spring onion and 42g Kerry Low Low Cheese. SW chips and Beetroot.

    Banana
    1/2 Curly Wurly

    Drinks
    2 Litres Water
    2 cups of tea

    HEA: 42g Kerry Low Low Cheese
    HEB: 2 x Wholemeal bread

    SYNS: 1/2 Curly Wurly 3
    Lurpak lighter on one side of bread 2 syns??


    ...I woke up Saturday morning with a much needed 10 o clock lie-in :) and jumped straight on the exercise bike for 25 mins, the 30 mins on the wii!

    SATURDAY 5TH MARCH

    Breakfast
    2 x Weetabix with chopped banana and strawberries

    Lunch
    Smash quiche with pasta n sauce, mushrooms, bacon, spring onion and onion with beetroot.

    Dinner
    Out for meal...Half a BBQ Chicken Pizza, 1/2 Chicken Parmesan wih roasties and salad. Also 3 Bottles of Kopparberg Cider!

    Snacks
    Kiwi Fruit
    Curly Wurly

    Drinks
    1 Litres Water
    2 cups of tea

    HEA:250ml Semi Skimmed Milk
    HEB: 2 x Weetabix

    SYNS: Curly Wurly 3
    Meal...god knows how many syns, dont even want to think about it. Theres about 36 syns in the Cider alone, aaaarrrgghhh!!


    Not too hungover, so managed to keep on plan today...although i am aching terribly from boxing on the wii yesterday. I did 15mins on the exercise bike today too :)

    Yeah i usually syn the butter, but think i have forgotten on Fridays diary.
    I only use it if i'm having jacket potatoes or if i'm having a sandwich, then i'll only spread it thinly on one side of the bread.
    Its Lurpak Lighter and i don't even really know how many syns is in it to be honest

    Pancake Day today, eek!
    I absolutely love pancakes. Tried the syn free version, but wasnt too keen. Might treat myself to one 'real' pancake (approx 1.5 syns) with a tbsp of golden syrup (2syns)...mmmm well worth 3.5 syns!!
