Hi all, I'm starting shake that weight on Friday. Just wondering if anyone has tried adding psyllium husk to bulk out the shakes (and if you can)?
Never heard of it but would be interested to hear more. On day5 of shake that weight and 7lb down. Loving it
I've done some research now and will be purchasing some soon! Great way to get fiber in and hoping it will allow me to split on of my shakes in half and feel as satisfied but get an 'extra' meal
Drink it very quickly love! (not sure about with the shakes, but I do take it with orange squash to help when constipated) It becomes jelly veryvery quickly and then you practically have to chew it to get it down.
1tsp is about 20 cals too (it surprised me that it had calories!)

I took that while on a juice fast. This is not the most pleasant of feelings in the mouth either - but depends on how you take it. I took it with juice like the other lady cos with water it was FOUL. However, it did fill me up. I wasted money on husk tablets before that though. All they do is turn into a hard gel - i know because I was ill one night and saw a suspicious looking item… and yes, the capsule had melted, but the powder inside had done nothing. I didn't feel full on them either.
It kind of tastes like very very bitty orange juice. I like orange juice with bits, but this was more like a sludge - but then I was putting in a tablespoon. It has 16 calories per tablespoon according to the info on my packet. you have to drink it real quick and then I wash it down as it gets little bits stuck around your mouth.
Not pleasant but not horrendous. I have eaten worse… like oysters wow, yukky!
