Well, here goes..
I played around with Slimming world for a few weeks after trying another diet group, which didn't work. After going on holiday in October and only putting a couple of pounds on I decided to bite the bullet and join a SW class. The leader was fab and really made me feel at home. I told her that I'd been diagnosed with an under active thyroid and she said don't be upset if you only lose small amounts as this is the only tablet doctors know can cause slow weight loss.
The first week I tried really hard, but had a charity concert in aid of my beautiful young cousin who died of Bowel Cancer aged 45, I tried really hard and even wrapped the pasty up and took it home for hubby later..:) then the next night we had a Heart Foundation dinner, I rang up the place and asked what was for dinner ( what a good girl) As it was a full ,what I call Sunday Roast, I though I'd go for the vegetables and meat after the vegetable soup, but leave the proffiteroles. Which is exactly what I did. I also drunk diet coke!!! It all paid off as I lost 1.5lbs the first week.
The second week I spotted an offer from our local butcher..a low fat pack of meat, so I ordered it. When we got it home hubby and I sat down and wrote meals for all the different meats. Anal I know but weight loss is weight loss.
We had gammon (fatfree) tomatoes, egg, beans, mushrooms good meal so another day sorted.
Saturday I made in the slow cooker cut up steak with the same mushrooms, onions, cougettes, peppers and oxo, all free we had a jacket potato with it.
All the meals followed this type of thing i've never been so full. We often had sweet potato instead of white .
My breakfast consist of 2 weetabix and skimmed milk and for lunch a two egg omlette with beans or spaghetti hoops. I know its a bit samey but I like it and its easy to syn..none!
The second week I lost another 1lb like I've said its slowly slowly, but at the meeting today we were talking of how hard it is and three other people said they had under active thyroid too, so we all know how the others feel.
So today I'm going to work out our meals again, see if it works...thanks for reading and any helpful hints would be appreciated.

Hi Anne. Found you and subscribed :). Looking forward to following your weight loss journey, you're doing great xxx

thanks sharon x
Today has been a mishmash day so for lunch hubby and I had chips and gravy, naughty but nice and on the run so to speak. shopping for Mum and Dad and then rushing home for the grands what a day! Evening meal consisted of two slices of bread and 1 slice of corned beef. At least it was weigh in day.:sigh: We called at the local butchers and got our weekly low fat pack and we've just sat and decided on our menus for the week. More or less the same as last week, but on different days. someone mentioned at class today about using pulses in their stews ( done in their slow cookers) so I though I might add that to my list.
Tomorrow starts another day...

Up bright and early this morning and had toast *b* choice and measured my milk *A* choice.
Off for a nice long walk as the weather has been kind to us today, nice and sunny but crisp, just right for walking along the canal bank. We walked for half an hour then sat and watched the ducks for a while. We walked back in the glorious sunshine, it felt like Spring.
For lunch we had two boiled eggs and half a tin of spaghetti each. All free!!
For evening meal we are having Gammon, fresh pineapple, beans, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes, all again free food. I wish this weather would continue till about March and then get warmer, all this walking must surely do me good.

Thanks Sharonx
Yesterday I had a SW choc bar for 3 syns. 102/105
Today has started with skimmed milk HA and weetabix HB. For lunch I'm having a jacket with spagetti (tinned) and for evening meal we are having Shepherds pie. Extra lean mince with onions and mushrooms along with a tin of beans covered in mashed potatoes/sweet potato. My syns will be the cheese topping 6 syns 96/105. I've been trying to drink water too, yesterday I only managed 1.5 litres but today already I've had 1 litre.

Totally enjoyed our evening meal but only had a half portion and it was enough. Usually we both eat shepherds pie until we can't move, tells you something aobut why I came to be overweight... I've drunk 2 litres of water and spent quite a lot of time in the bathroom, oops.
I had a SW cereal bar 3 syns and a slice of crusty bread which I called 5 syns and a thin layer of pate 3 syns so thats 11 syns = 85/105 better than last weekend x

Well what a naughty girl was I last night? 4 glasses of lager I've called it 26 syns but today I've only had toast HB for breakfast. As we didn't finished the Shepherds pie last night that's what we are having today so that's no points.
Off for a nice long walk along the canal now.
59/105.

Only had a hifi 3 syns bar last night as I didn't feel very well.
Today I had HA milk HB weetabix. Lunch was jacket and a laughing cow blue cheese triangle 1.5 syns and for tea a chicken breast with rice and a hi fi bar 3 syns 53.5/105

Hi sorry I've not been on here but I've been poorly this week. Lay doing nothing and not really overeaten.
Went to WI today and put on half, not a happy face but at least I feel a bit better.

Sharon its been quite nice here but not nice enough to tempt me to go out. Today its misty and drizzle but we are supposed to be getting a cold front coming down this weekend. Just what we don't need x Good Luck tonight x

Today I've had Ha skimmed milk Hb weetabix, lunch was jacket and beans and evening meal was Asda Curry pot its 25 for a full portion but we had it between us ( I know sad aren't we) and I had less than half so called it 10/15 and rice which is free. Hi fi bar which is 3syns so I've had 13 for today .

Thanks sharon.
Today I've had porridge and skimmed milk using both my H options. Its horrible here today rainy, windy just ugh!
For lunch I had toast 7 syns and for evening meal we are having chicken casserole with leeks, courgettes and peppers. Mashed sweet potato too. Had an hi fi bar 3 syns so thats 10 for today.
