Woman VS Diet. The 3 stone battle.

Today I started on exante. I decided enough was enough and I finally went out and did it! I've been on all the crash diets and taken more weight loss pills than I'd like to admit. Everytime I seemed to come out of the other end weighing even more! Summer 2012 I weighed 11 stone exactly. Now several failed diets later, I'm a stone and a half heavier. How does that even work?

The word diet just makes me feel hungry I swear :/

WEEK ONE MEASUREMENTS.

WEIGHT: 12st 7lb

BMI: 32.6

HIP: 45

WAIST: 36

CHEST: 44
(really hoping to drop a few bra sizes from a 36F. A 34D would be nice!)

DAY ONE.

Breakfast: Apple and cinnamon porridge

Comments: really tasty and kept me full up from 10am until 3pm.

Lunch: Chocolate shake

Comments: I did it using the blender and I loved it! want to try it as a hot chocolate some time! Not as filling as breakfast, I was hungry by 6:30.

Tea: Shepherds pie

Comments: Tasted weird so I added half of a sneaky oxo cube. Tasted pretty good afterwards though! was quite filling too. Was satisfied until about 10....

REVIEW

Day one and I caved already. Maybe it was the headache, maybe it was just the cravings. I wasn't hungry, I was just craving stuff! I dipped my finger in the chocolate spread :p (sugar cravings) then curbed it by eating 4 cherry tomatoes.... I suppose it could have been worse! I hope I haven't ruined my chances of a quick ketosis too much :/

Keep going, dont cave!

For when u want sugar get some water flavouring. I actually use Cambridge Diet summer berry.

I add it to fizzy water, or if im really desperate lick my finger and dip it in- it's like sherbet.

You can be knocked out of ketosis really easily.

Resist! You'll feel fab for it

If you really feel like you need something to eat ... go for a bit of lean meat ham/chicken it won't affect your ketosis. But keep up the good work Exante is worth it... you can get such good results in a short period of time.

I totally suck at this diet mojo.... I failed again :/ but thanks for the tip bethybumble! I'll definitely try that....
but in the meantime, I'm blaming my severe cravings (and a large percent of my weight gain) on the contraceptive implant. I'm going to get it removed tomorrow and have a day off the diet. I think that if I get these cravings out of the way, I'll be able to have a proper start (never got that last night of luxury :p) and then I promise myself I'll be good!

Also a quick tip I found splitting my veggie soup into two cuppa soups helped to keep me fuller for longer... :/

I'll be back tomorrow night- I'm hoping for a bit of motivation before the restart! Then I'm going to be really strict, follow all the rules with no exceptions!

Okay so today I had my break day - found I couldn't eat as much as I used to anyway, my stomach must have shrunk already! The food didn't taste anywhere near as good as I imagined it would though, so I'll remember that as a deterrent next time! Oh, I got my implant out too, stinging a little now whenever I move my arm :/ boyfriend nearly passed out watching it get removed so I had fun teasing him afterwards! He insisted he'd be fine when I asked even though he seemed a little squeamish when I had it put in :p

Anyway... after tea I'm going to go straight back on to only drinking water and I'm going to reweigh tomorrow morning since that's when I'll be restarting! 110% determination this time.

Okay.. so restart. DAY 1.

WEIGHT: 12st2lb (wait- how did that happen?! 5lb loss from just 2 days plus a cheat day? I'm not complaining! )
Will update later today! This loss is amazing though and will motivate me to stick to it this time around!

DAY ONE (take two :p)

breakfast: porridge
lunch: chocolate shake
dinner: shepherds pie

I drank lots of water today and split my lunch into 1 small milkshake and one small hot chocolate- though I didn't like the hot chocolate as much as I expected to?
No cheats and I'm heading to bed now.

Also... I'm supposed to be going out for a meal with my grandfather on Sunday, do you guys think I'll be okay if I go for something like a seafood salad or chicken salad and skip my last pack?

Day 2 :)

Breakfast: vanilla shake
-I had half of this to sweeten/milk my coffee, this worked great! and then had half of it for when I got back after doing my christmas shopping! :)
Lunch: Carbonara
-I had some konjac noodles (as suggested by exante) with it and added a bit of garlic powder and I liked it this time... only thing is it filled me up to the point where I'm not hungry enough to eat my soup yet! My boyfriends having steak and ale pie with veggies for tea so hopefully when I smell that in a few minutes I'll feel hungry again!
Tea: Vegetable soup
not eaten tea yet today but I have had it before and it was yummy! Its just like my favourite golden vegetable cuppa soup! (I add extra water)
ordered some more food today... I really want to try more different things :) I have a few different flavoured shakes and more meals plus a few bars- oh and two drink pots as water gets boring quickly for me!

Ahh long time no post!
so heres what I have discovered.... I love the shakes more than anything else! :) Making them hot and cold is so different. I'm loving icy banana and hot vanilla the most at the minute!
Carbonara is eatable. I can't get along with the shepherds pie of vegtable soup without breaking the rules. The bars aren't as good as expected but are really convenient so I'll eat them anyway. I ordered more food too so I'll give my opinion on all of the soups and meals and also the strawberry shake soon. I also ordered some mousse maker, a turkey dinner and a christmas pudding shake- just to try :D

I'm getting better at sticking to my diet though. I had a meal out on sunday... and have another out this sunday (all prebooked) but on my last one I ate a steak salad and then succumbed to half a sticky toffee waffle pudding! oopsies.

I weighed in on monday at 11st13lb meeting one of my goals already. 8lb lighter in a week is amazing. A sneaky weigh in this morning also told me I've lost 2lb more since then!

I had some lean beef cubes (100g) yesterday though since I was hungry and was proud of myself for choosing that over the pasta bake my boyfriend had made himself. Its got to be a good sign!

I haven't lost any weight in terms of my measurements yet so I'm still waiting. I WILL get into my 11 stone jeans by January!

have been good but today was my younger sisters birthday so I had some beef chow mein (not much and mostly the beef on a small toast plate) and a couple of spoon fulls of cake.... I weighed myself this morning to find I was 11st10lb... 3lb lost since monday! so hope I haven't jeopardised that too much... hey ho... going to be 100% faithful to my diet until sunday then I have a prebooked work meal. (prawn cocktail followed by salmon then mint ice cream cake) already decided that I will say no to desert- say I'm full or something ;)

Okay so TOTM arrived... I weighed this morning to find that I have increased by 1lb :cry:I am now 11stone11lb... I then strayed from my diet by having a couple slices of pizza- bad me :/ I also have the meal tomorrow... BUT... on the plus side, I was measuring myself to calculate my body fat percentage and found that I had dropped a total of two inches! :D one around my waist and one around my hips making my new measurements:

CHEST: 44"
WAIST: 36"
HIPS: 44"

which gives me an almost perfect hourglass in terms of my measurements. (the rule for an hourglass is hips and chest should be the same measurement and waist should be 10" less) so I'm really excited to see my new body! this has definitely given me the nudge I needed as due to the 1lb gain (which I hope is due to TOTM) I was losing my motivation.

On another note, my body fat percentage is 42.8%. I want to get this down to a healthy 31% as soon as possible and hope to eventually reach 25% or less...

but first goal.... GET INTO MY SIZE 12 JEANS BY CHRISTMAS! heres hoping!!!

I'm so happy with my weigh in this morning! I now weigh 11st7lb! which means I have lost a stone since the 25th novemeber when I began this diet!!:D
One stone in twenty days! I'm absolutely over the moon!
I still hope to reach 11st2lb by christmas but this is my first goal, I'm so happy with myself.

This weight also marks me being classed as overweight instead of obese, which truly is a great thing! And definitely worth celebrating! :)

Ugh really need to stick to this :( I've lost sight of i all and am now back to 11st10lb... here goes nothing I guess :)
 
Back down to 11.7 already! Small acheivement I know but Im so much happier for it!

Very slowing unfortunately. I lost 2.5 stone on Cambridge last year and put a bit back on. I'm now trying to lose the rest while training myself to eat differently.

How are you doing?

Starting - 211lbs Current - 184lbs
