Hello. Thanks for reading :)

I'm Soniya. I'm 33 and this year is the year for me to become a healthier and happier me. I recently checked the scales and found that I'd gained almost a stone since October (when I last weighed myself). I now weigh 12st 7lbs. I also suffer from anxiety and depression which keeps me indoors a lot of the time as I get embarrassed having anxiety attacks in public but since I've started my clean eating regime I've not had one panic attack which is brilliant and I'm so happy.

FOOD:
I started on the 6th of January 2014. I've been using a mixture of VLCD packs, protein powder and clean eating (a few examples of clean eating for me include steamed or raw veg, protein cooked with no fats or salt, organic porridge, boiled brown rice, berries and fat free Greek yoghurt). I'm hoping that once I've lost a significant amount of weight I'll be able to move onto just clean eating with 2 reward meals a week where I can I eat anything I want but not not to go crazy overboard on junk.

EXERCISE:
I'm also doing 20 minutes of HIIT training (Josie Gibsons 30 second slim), joining my friend in walking/running with the dog during quieter times if I feel comfortable enough. I do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I'm doing strength training to ensure I tone. I do it at home using resistance bands and weights. I've also got the Bob Harper super strength DVD but I've only done the beginners workout as the main workout frightens me! Also, I'm on day 5 of the 30 day squat challenge. Ouch!

I will be weighing every week and measuring once a month.

So, as I've said, my weight is currently 12st 7lb and here are my measurements (I KNOW my measuring technique and words are a little weird I know but that's how I measure LOL LOL LOL)

Day 5 squats done, yikes. I also managed to fit a 30DS in. I'll be attempting some strength training later tonight.

Breakfast - overnight porridge with yog, berries and almond butter
Lunch- egg white muffins with cheese
Dinner- slim and save cottage pie
Snacks- milk for coffee, 2 babybel lights and veggies

Feeling good about today.
 
Day 6 and I am happy to say that I found the 75 squats I had to do really easy but I'm just so so tired mentally. I'm not sure if it's all is exercise I've been doing since I started on Monday but I feel deflated! I know my calories are definitely high enough as I am eating a lot but just eating good stuff. I'm still plodding along as giving up just isn't an option anymore. It's Saturday and I'd normally go for a takeaway but tonight it's mozzarella balls, with cherry tomatoes, avocado and puréed basil leaves which I love. I made myself some indian style brown rice with veg to go along with grilled my chicken for lunch. It was lovely and hot the spot as I was craving my mums homemade Indian food today.

I had had a quick look on the scales and I'm down a few pounds which is great and motivating me to stay on plan. I just wish I felt more upbeat today.
 
Weight: 12st exactly :) I am so happy to report that I've lost 7lbs.

I know on a vlcd that is quite normal but I'm only having one meal replacement per day and 2 full meals and snacks although they've been very nutritious. I love that I can also include 2 reward meals a week and STILL lose weight. Just goes to show that exercise and eating right really does work. What has impressed me the most though is how my mood swings seemed to have eased and my panic attacks have just stopped. I know it's still early days but I feel good and happy that finally I'm doing something positive.

So busy this week that I'm not eating as often as I'd like to but still sticking to good nutritious foods. I've managed to fit in my exercises which I'm happy about. Not much to report today. I'm hoping to do another DVD before I go to bed and then I'll meditate prior to sleep.
 
well done your very motivated. i started to exercise from last friday and it has made me feel so much better. keep going your finish line is not too far away :)

Thank you so much for your support. I love how I feel after exercise (not during!). I feel like I've accomplished something and that's a nice feeling :)
 
I've tried clicking on people to find their diaries but I can't seem to search. I've heard I need to get to 50 posts before I can unlock some features and I think searching for members and posting pictures is currently unlocked for me. Sorry I can't search for anyone just yet but I'll try and post more regularly to hit my 50 posts.

This weekend was good. I had my reward meal which was so yummy. I still felt a teeny bit guilty (need to work on those beliefs) but it made me even more determined to push through a workout. I do believe that I used to plateau due to never seeing an end in sight but my 2 reward meals a week really seem to be helping. I did, however, suffer from crazy sweet cravings after one reward meal. I had to literally take my dog out for a 3rd walk to stop myself from binging. She loves all these extra walks so she's happy and I'm happy :)
 
I weighed myself and I've not lost anything since my 7lbs loss in week 1. I don't feel bad because my body feels tighter and I'm so glad I measured when I first started so when I next measure I'm sure I'll see a difference. I feel good today :)
 
Crazy workout session today I feel good. I thought I would struggle especially as it's my totm but I pushed through.

i find the exercise gives me a high lol not sure if its the music that makes me feel good or the exercise but i am loving it :D. i hope your having a good week
 
Had my reward/cheat meal today and I'm feeling so energised after it. Ready for my evening workout. I'm not currently in London so I've been craving my itsu and wasabi sushi rolls so I decided to make some homemade ones for my reward meal. I do know how to make healthy sushi but it just doesn't taste the same so I went all out with the sugar and vinegar rice today. It was delish!!! I'm doing a happy dance now :)
 
Day off from all exercise today and boy am I glad! My shins been hurting a little so I've not been doing too much high impact cardio and think today is perfect for my body to relax.

I'm going to wash my hair later and spend today doing my nails and just being girly again as I'm rarely out of my workout gear these days.

its nice to have a rest day,i usually have a couple - am having one today coz i feel warn out from work! but did take my dog on a nice walk (roll on the summer for long walks). back to it tomorrow :). hope you have enjoyed your day

I do love my rest days! It was needed and yes thanks I really, really enjoyed it :) I'm looking forward to taking my dog out for long walks in the summer. I always come in freezing these days even though I walk so fast with her.
 
WEIGH IN:

Even though I'd like to weigh myself every Monday I sometimes forget to before breakfast. I weighed myself yesterday and I'm very pleased to say that I've lost 1st since beginning my healthy lifestyle almost a month ago. I'm now 11st 7lb and I feel good because I'm eating good food and plenty of it which gives me the energy to exercise.

As I'm not yet going to the gym I'm doing most of my exercising at home (plus walking my dog) and I've invested in a few DVDs to change up my routine so boredom doesn't set in. I do find myself getting annoyed at Jillian nowadays (which never happened before) so I tend to mute her DVD and put on my own music!
 
thats a great loss well done :D i watched the 30 day shredd the other day lol, i just wanted to check it out first and it looks good so am going to start that tomorrow - not too sure i can do the star jumps but will try.
