Hi everyone!

I joined a meeting last night having previously been a SW member. I lost almost 4 stone with SW but I've become bored and stuck in a rut with it so here I am! We get married in March and I have my dress but can lose around 2 stone to feel better but not alter the dress too much.
My leader seems really nice and has set me off on the simple start plan for the first week. My OH is trying to stick to it with me but we'll see how long that lasts for when he realises ice cream isn't a staple! Lol.
I'm going to post a food diary to keep track, please feel free to offer any advice or tips!

Here is today's day 1 simple start menu:

Breakfast
Shredded wheat & skimmed milk

Lunch
Tomato soup & sandwich thins

Snack
Crumpet topped with wafer thin ham

Tea
Chicken enchiladas, wedges and stir fried veg (50g WW cheese for Treat 1)

Snacks
Fruit salad
WW fruit bears (Treat 2)

Welcome to WW and Good Luck to you (and hubby) Sounds as though you are doing fab and well done for sticking to the plan even with the yummy tempting treat of a BBQ lurking!

Hey!

So day 3 on plan is going well so far. I've been to Asda to grab a few bits to prepare for yet another BBQ we're going to tomorrow. It's our niece's 1st birthday and they're having a garden party and BBQ so I'm being organised to avoid temptation!

Anyhow back to today..

Breakfast
Shredded wheat & skimmed milk

Lunch

Tea
Mediterranean chicken, roast potatoes & roasted peppers, onions and courgettes

Snacks
Apple turnover (wrap with cooked apple and cinnamon)
Fruit salad
Treat 1 - WW carrot cake
Treat 2 - WW cookies

It was great! I worry I'm very carb-heavy but if I was doing propoints it would only have been 3. It was filling and tided me over until tea!
I can tell I've been off plan for a few weeks because I'm starving since starting WW. I'm eating plenty but obviously I was stuffing myself so much beforehand I'm feeling 'bottomless'!

Hope your double shift at work is 'ok', well as ok as work can be! What do you do? Glad to hear the party went well, your choices sounded very restrained! Food looks good for today, plenty to keep u filled up. X

Hi! When is the wedding? I got married last year and felt amazing in my wedding dress, lots of exercise and hard work but worth it :)

Good Luck with WW. I started over a week ago now and I enjoy it.

Hiya

I get married at the end of March 2015! So final fittings for my dress is last weekend of January. To be honest I felt amazing when I tried it on - I was so nervous about dress shopping but its so true that when you know, you know! I just want this 2.5 stone off to feel better in myself, and also for our honeymoon.
I enjoy WW too, but I must admit I'm feeling hungry quite a lot. I think that's a reflection of how much rubbish I was eating over the last few weeks prior to joining WW. I'm also conscious not to keep resorting to carbs to stop the hunger, reaching for a crumpet is much more appealing than reaching for yet another tangerine!
Did you do Simple Start for your first week? Not sure whether to carry on with it for a second week or switch onto F&H and propoints

x

I think most people on Minis seem to only manage SS for a week as they find it too restrictive, they prefer to switch to F&H/PP as it's more flexible and adapts to real life much better! X

I get you. I walked out to pool on my honeymoon, whipped off my top and felt great in my bikini. I still had a tiny bit of 6 pack lol and I felt great walking around and not caring what people thought. It was probably the first time in my life I felt that way.

Now I'm here as I have gestational diabetes during pregnancy. I've changed my eating habits, I'm not too bothered about losing, I just want to keep my blood sugars down. I'm not doing pp as I don't want to cut my calories that low. I'm doing F&H.

I can have all the free foods I want, popcorn, crumpets, healthy meats etc. then 49pp to spend on whatever I like. If I don't think I can stick to F&H as I'm eating out or want something premade, then I will just have a pp day.

You can switch between F&H and PP. That's what I love. After baby is born in hopefully 10 weeks, I want to take some time to get to grips with being a mummy, then I will probably do more pp days.

The only thing I worry about with pp days is that I'll be starving! Having done SW for so long I've got a skewed vision of what a normal portion is and as a result have a huge appetite! So maybe F&H is the way to go in the main.
Do you still accumulate activity points on F&H or just pp days? I suppose on the days I go spinning or to the gym I could 'spend' my activity points and do pp days.
Agh so confused!
