This is the Discover Spring Slimmers Challenge thread. 10 weeks to Easter following the old WW points system. Anyone is welcome to join in, just let me know how much you'd like to pledge and I'll add you to the list!

I lost 2.5 this week so really pleased :) So my start weight for this challenge is 13.3

How did it go ladies?
 
Yay well done! I lost 8lb this week so really happy with my first WI, also means I drop a point! Starting weight for this is 10st13lb :) xx
 
Whoa, Nibbs! That's good going! If you'd have started the Sprimmer Challenge last week you'd be over half way there! You're going get to your goal in no time! x
 
Ahh Thankyou! I hope so, it's a nice way to see its all worth it! I know I probably won't get such big losses from now on, but it's a good jump start!
Do you find it gets easier or harder as weeks go on? Xx
 
I find the first week okay when I'm really motivated, I don't get passed 3 days if I'm not! 2nd week is harder but was okay this time. This week I feel really motivated as I've already lost half a stone. Hooray :) coming on here has really helped x
 
Yeah I think you have to have the mindset for it otherwise it's no good. Been meaning to get generally healthier for a while and recently it's just all clicked so sticking with it before my motivation goes! I think seeing the loss definitely helps the focus though! X
 
And definitely being on here has been helpful! So good to see other people in the same situation, an have a good chat! X

Exactly! The thing is with WW is that it lets you eat everything, in moderation. If you want a treat or meal out you can have it with just a little jiggling of points, I don't feel like I have to deprive myself of anything, it's fab! Here's to week 2, hey x

How much would you like to aim for in the next 10 weeks?
 
Yay our little team is growing! How's everyone found it today? I seem to have snacked a lot today, stayed 0.5pts below my daily points, but I feel 'blergh' tonight. Trying not to let it get me too down as I still stayed below points.. Just not enough to save for my pancakes this weekend! Have planned my meals for the rest of the week though so I can 'reclaim' points as it were, I'll save some on Monday instead of today to balance it out.

Actually, I appear to be snacking too. I've been eating lovely meals that are low points but inbetween having low point but not overly nutritious snacks. One or two would be fine, but I don't always stop there. It's when I get home around 5 and wait for hubby to get home for tea - then tea is really low points because it has to be!

Hmm, I guess I know what I need to do...right, aiming for ONE snack after work only unless it's fruit and then healthy meals. I've not gone over my points at all, just feeling a bit blurgh too.

On a plus note, skirt felt looser today :) kept spinning round!

Im terrible for snacking! Always my downfall. Going to make zero point soup for the weekend to help keepme on track :)
 
Exactly! My meals are lovely, all balanced and healthy. I just snack between, usually I have cereal bars and frozen grapes, so not too bad! But yesterday I had a curly wurly and a Milky Way, plus my usual chewee bar(s!!) and yoghurt. Ahh well, today is another day!
I've heard a lot about 'free soups', I might make a batch for the weekend, and next week. It's when I get in from uni and then have dinner a few hours later. I snack before my evening meal, but even worse after. Xx
 
And yay for skirt Hules! Gonna have to justify a shopping trip soon! X
 
Sadly I have plenty of other clothes to wear when I actually manage to lose the weight. I lost weight for a fab trip to America for my brother's wedding and brought some lovely clothes that I couldn't then get into last Summer. I WILL get in them this year (and hopefully before Easter :D).

I really should make soup. I used to make it loads and freeze it in mug sized portions but I seem to have lost the touch and my soups all taste yuk or boring!!?? I did make an okay one the other week though can't remember what it was, I'll have to look it up. I did my tracker book this morning and realised that with my lunch I'd have 8 points left for tea. I so fancy a snack now but am resisting AND we've got extra amazing cupcakes leftover that my daughter and I made for her school charity day today. Not fair I love cupcakes:cry:
