Hi, starting ip old style again. Can someone just job my memory, is it 1pt per 20g of pasta.
1pt per 20g of rice
1pt per 100g potato.

Also, any links to other basic points values? I have had a look but cant spot anything!

Hi established. I think your potato and pasta values are correct. I'll check your rice in a bit. My recommendation would be to try to buy the Shop book from eBay if you see it. My book has a picture of fish fingers in the front otherwise post here and we will try to help.

Hi And welcome to the board Established :)
Those points are correct. My shopping guide has a paper bag of groceries on it. I use it all the time - the pages of basics at the front are starting to fall out now.

It's got her foods, but might give you a bit of a start.

Wow, that's excellent, thanks guys! I do still have my old style calculator too, just need to find myself some batteries! Though I really didnt realise that you had to point fruit and veg!

One thing that has just cheered me up though. My little avatar on the side says starting wright 20st 9lb from last time I was on here, but I am now 16st 11lbs! Thought I'd put more weight on than that!

Only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is points for tangerines, gin and red wine.

Thanks again!

That's brilliant news! Just shows how well you have actually been doing considering!

Most veg is free, just the starchy ones need pointing. Fruit is free on PP but I do actually binge on fruit (i.e grapes - mmmm), so I prefer to actually count them.

Right,
tangerines x2 =0.5 points
gin pub measure (25ml) =1
red wine med glass 125ml =2

anything else just give us a shout x

I agree. You've done so well to keep those stones off. It sounds like you are focussed and ready to do this.

Thanks guys :) I had been doing really well at maintaining, but for numerous reasons we ended up living between 2 houses for about 12 months. Hard to meal plan/plan ahead when you don't know where you'll be one night from then next! Then l just got lazy! All settled in to our new house now though, so back on the wagon and getting my ever growing butt to theGym! Lol

It is difficult to devote yourself to a diet when you have so much other stuff I your mind. I've got a good feeling that this is it for you!
