Hi guys I really need some motivation. I've been on the diet for 5 weeks and lost 14 pounds. But last week I gained 0.8lb and don't understand how. I don't feel I'm losing this week either. I've a long way to go but don't feel I'm going to lose anymore :,(

Don't get disheartened. The best thing about WW is that you're not starving yourself. I always said if I was having a horribly dull diet AND not losing then I'd be very annoyed!

When i first ever started WW I lost albs…. then the next week I only lost 0.5lbs! I couldn't understand how as I didn't do anything differently. As the weeks continued, a pattern emerged, I'd lose every week but only lose 0.5lbs every 3 weeks! I thought it might have had something to do also with my TOTM as I was retaining water etc.

- Have you been exercising too?
- Have you counted EVERYTHING and weighed EVERYTHING??
- How many pp are you on? Do you use your weeklies?

Just don't go into a meltdown and instead either think of where you could have improved or just realise that you have done fantastic in only 5 weeks and that your body is adjusting! :) This is just 1 week out of 6 so continue with the plan and see what happens next week!

Thanks so much for you reply.
I haven't really done any excersize since I started as I don't really have time.
I started on 40 pp a week no I've gone down to 38pp with my loss and I use all my weeklies.
I weigh on a Thursday morning and I use the majority of weeklies on the weekend and just save a few so I have about three to use a day for Monday to Wednesday.
I did have an Indian on Saturday and I went off what people were saying on here for points. But when I had my new eating out guide on Monday I'd realised the following had changed from what if pointed at:
- chicken korma used to be approx 24 is now approx 50pp
- plain naan used to be 12 is now almost 30 I think.

But I figured that as I used pretty much all my points on the Saturday my body would have burned them off by Friday with just having my dailies.

I felt like crying as I used to do Cambridge diet so worried my body won't lose much weight on a normal diet.

I do have my sister as support, she's been on it for years and always looks fab. Although we don't live together we speak constantly through the day and evening comparing food diaries. And I go to hers to weigh in on Thursday morning.

I just hope the weight shifts next week. I have another 4 stone go loose.

I did the same though… I probably spent about 70pp on Saturday and put on 2 lbs!! Still hoping it will come off by Saturday… but if not then I'm in for the long haul so will just have to keep going. The way I see it, what's my other option? Feel tubby and wobbly? :( I am starting a new 14 week fitness workout and while it raves about weight loss… I'm going in with this with eyes wide open! By that I need to measure my achievements in pics and inches rather than just on the scales - they're far too misleading! :) I've spoken to people who have STS for weeks… then measured themselves to realise they have lost nearly 9 inches off their body!

I think the other thing is, you will often lose more weight to begin with… so as you continue your weight may slow down. It may seem you have a way off but if you add in some more exercise or drop a few of your weeklies then you may see a difference next week :) good luck!

I think you're completely right... I may start measuring myself too and that may help. Also may take photo maybe on each mont
H and compare :).

I think also if It has slowed down I might go back to the gym, even if it's once a week for an hour or so to start with and gradually build it up.

I guess because I'm the heaviest I've ever been I get disheartened very easily. I used to be 12 and half stone and because I'm quite tall I looked tiny and loved it. So I'm just setting myself small goals which weight watchers are giving me.

I guess it's true what they say "the slower it comes off the longer it wIll stay off".

The support on here is fab :) thanks so much x

Definitely! I keep having to tell myself "it's a marathon, not a sprint" because While I haven't got too much to lose (less than a stone) this time.... I want to lost by July! I often diet well for a few weeks and then get complacent or give up or stop once I've reached whatever date I'm hoping to lose by lol hoping by having such a looooong time to lose it, I will be able to continue and that a few rough weeks here and there won't do much damage!

Also upping my exercise a lot by doing t25 workout for 14 weeks!

Definitely take pics tho! And measurements! :)
