    Gluten Free soups

Does anyone know if any of the soups are gluten free?

I know they list the Lactose free ones but a client is a celeriac(is that the right word) and would like to try the soups but would be extremely ill if they weren't gluten free

    Thanks in advance...

He hee this made me laugh hun- celeriac is a vegetable!! I think your client is coeliac!!

I don't know the answer though I'm afraid. Do you have an ingredients list? I could tell you if you have a full list of ingredients.

Or have you tried calling head office? I'm sure they can tell you straight away.

The soups have gluten in them. It is a very small amount but it is there up until the last year or so they were contraindicated but now the advice is let the customer know and if they want to try one or two if their intollerance is not high they should be okay.

Personally, I do not supply coeliac's. The allergen information is on the side of the boxes.

Any product that has had gluten in it cannot be classed as gluten free as when you take out the gluten there will always be trace.

The soups are classed as Sarbanes Oxley Gluten Free which means they meet a standard to be classed as free of gluten but someone who is hyper sensitive to gluten may still react.

My mother is a coeliac but did the diet fine with the soup packs but any coeliac must be made aware that the products are Sarbanes Oxley gluten clear and not gluten free from ingredients.

If anyone has any specific questions then give Gill a ring at head office.

Thanks all of you for the info....

She's very sensitive to gluten so could maybe try half a soup perhaps to see if it affects her.

    Will tell her next week

    Thanks again
