New man on the block

Hi all

On week three of CWP. Been lurking so thought I'd say hello.

I lost 1 stone in my first week, and 7lbs in my second. 3rd Weigh-in this Thurs.

Finding it harder as I go. I am loathe to use the word "cheat" but with my height and weight been struggling on my plan at times (3 products, 1 meal). I've been eating larger portions than recommended (but nothing that isn't on the list) and I've been supplementing with extra protein in the day if I'm starving (e.g chicken breast or a couple of boiled eggs).

Obviously it isn't yet affecting my losses and I know it will work best if I stick to it 100% but it feels like a really tiny amount.

I've been telling my CDC everything and she's told me that it's fine to supplement with extras at this stage (within reason) and we can reconsider if/when my losses stall.

Anyone out there (men or women) done anything similar? Or are you all much stronger-willed than I am?!

Chris

Hi Chris
My goodness you have had amazing losses so far! Well done you!

I have just finished week 1 and lost 9lbs :)

I didnt have any snacks at all in that time however my fridge did have chicken and hard boiled eggs in there ready and waiting for me if I needed them. I dont think your weight loss will really be affected by having the odd supplement as long as you are picking the right things and looking at your losses so far it seems like you are on track.

Best of luck to you on your journey!

Ps, I forgot to mention that I did this diet a few years ago for 3 months and did SS the whole time. I had a couple ofof meals in that time but thats about it. I avoided any snacking. I lost 3.5 stone in that time and got to my goal of 10st 12 x

Well done! At this stage it's really important to stay in ketosis and that's what you're doing by choosing eggs and meat. It won't affect your losses until you start to reintroduce carbs and at that stage your calorie intake becomes more important. I had one client who thought it was ok to replace her meal with chocolate. Now unless you're doing that you're definitely not cheating!

Hi. I think there are some people that can stick to SS and not waver or hanker after snacks or real food. I'm not one of them!
I too have chicken or low fat ham as a snacking go to. If I didn't, I think I would fall off plan, and that's not an option for me, as I want to succeed.
If you keep it to small portions, low fat, low carb and high protein, then if you're still having good losses each week, stick to it. You'll find what works for you.
