    Mel's weight loss diary

    Hello Everyone,

    I hope this will be my last attempt at losing weight, I have had so many failed attempts spanning 20 years and as my 40th bday looms in Feb I hope this will be my final push. I have pretty much done them all and found CD and LL to be the best. I hope to follow CD until I reach goal and then move up the steps to maintenance. I am on day 1 and my vitals are:

    Start weight 16st 9lb
    I am 5'2" and currently in a size 20.

    My first goal is to complete my first day 100% SS
    My Second is to complete 3days 100% SS
    My Third goal is complete 7days 100%
    My Fourth goal is to get into the 15's
    My fifth is to get to 14st 9lb (2 stones) which is also the lightest I have been for several years.

    Well you've committed now, and taken the first step by completing day 1. Well done

    I fill a bottle of water and set myself a time limit i.e. need to drink a litre bottle in 3 hrs so I force myself even if I don't fancy it. Also have an app on my phone to count my litres which helps as I can see how I'm doing throughout the day.

    I will take a look at the app that may help. I did a cheeky scales check this morning and have lost 4lb so that was a boost. l feel less grumpy today so I hope to be in ketosis asap and I keep telling myself this is not forever its just until I get to a better weight, the more 100% days I have the quicker I will get there. I am already looking forward to the day I can start moving up the steps..x

    Congrats on completing your first day. How is day 2 going.?

    I started again just before new year had a couple of days off and now on day 1 again! and struggling but keep thinking of how i feel when i'm lighter. I lost 4st on cambridge a couple of years ago, kept most of it off until summer this year. 3st of it back on but feeling positive as i know how good i felt 3st lighter! I need to lose 5st to be at my goal and this time i will do it!!

    Thanks day two going well and already two litres of water done so that's good. When I fell off the wagon a few years back I did keep trying to get back on the cd diet and I just couldn't get my head around it you so have to be in the zone with this one but boy it's worth it of you can. My first night out is for my 40th bday party at the end of feb so hope to shift as much as I can before then. I have just started a new job too so I hope they are sympathetic xx

    Ok day three nearly complete just having a soak in my daily bath I always find I get so cold by about tea time it's good though because I jump I'm the bath when the family are eating dinner so it's 1. Peaceful and 2. I haven't the torture of watching them eat. Has a cheeky weigh again this morning and another pound off so that's 5lb in three days. I would love 10lbs this week to drop me into the 15s but we shall see. Hope your all being good xx

    I have found 500ml bottles are consumed far quicker than 1l bottles strange but i can drink one quite quickly. I keep one on me all the time so i know i need to have around 6 a day. I'm nice and warm aftre my bath xx

    Yeah I'm afraid so! I always get that and even after weeks on plan if I'm in the shower too long or its too hot or I haven't had a bit of water before I get in I get stupidly dizzy. Hopefully you'll feel better during today.
