hi, I am on my first day! Feeling very excited but also scared a bit as I don't know if I'll be able to do this for so long... I hope to lose 3 and a half stone on exante.
The last few years have been very traumatic for my children and myself, too much pain and stress, too many tears...and of course the weight kept on creeping up...
I love reading about people's journeys in their diaries, all the ups and downs and best of all the success!... loads of inspiration.
I hope that posting in my diary will help me stay focussed...so please please pop in and help? And maybe it will help some others too...
So heeeeere I go! :)
...The new me, doing something just for ME this time... And for my kids, a happier healthier confident mum!

Good Luck on your journey, stick at it and make sure you drink all 3-4L of your water. If you feel hungry go have another sip of water!

The first few days are the hardest for most, have your headache tablets at hand.

Reading every ones diaries helps keep me motivated and positive that I can do this, you're so right, loads of inspiration.
So enjoy seeing those scales show less and less each week!
 
hi Giggles and everybody :) , it seems i will only start tonight, tom morning. My teenage daughter was very upset (long story - abusive ex)and I ended up having normal breaky, I need to get my mindset right.

So day one is tomorrow .....and I will weigh in every Tuesday. I hope it will be easier after a few days, as I feel a bit weak after not sleeping well the last few days, nightmares. I just have to overcome it all and get into the diet.

Hope you are doing well today, havent read any diaries yet :)

hi everybody.... hope you are doing ok?? Its been my first day...started ok, but feeling dizzy/weak now, but its probably to be expected. I get dizzy easily so I think after my carb attack the last few days before diet, Im probably in a serious withdrawel now.
I had a vanilla shake in morning, yum, and veggie soup for lunch (loved if, I like soups in general!), about to have the tomato soup now. I had loads of redbush tea, about 2 litres...as can't stand cold water for now, will up the water tomorrow...
I went shopping at Morrisons and had to buy lots of yummy stuff for sons birthday on Thurs... that was a bit of a challenge, but I was proud to survive. I got the food ready for kids' tea, but asked my teenage daughter to plate it up and I had my brew somewhere else... After a few days I will stay in kitchen/diner, the smell was just a bit much as I was dizzy and hungry :)
Tomorrow is quite busy but after school we are off to an indoor water playpark (surprise for son's birthday!), Im swimming as well (in me shorts!), so hopefully I wont be dizzy. Will take some paracetamol and have a bar before we go. When we come back I am doing son's cake - an army themed cake, so lots if choc, minstrels, cake around... that will be interesting lol:rolleyes:
Anyway, so that is my update, diary (and whoever is reading!) please come and post here will be great help if I know people are checking up ;)

Stick with it Naomi, you deserve a medal what with making cakes & stuff. Headaches & dizziness can last a few days so keeping some paracetamol is a good idea. So glad I'm not the only one who swims in shorts lol. Have fun tomorrow & hope the diet goes ok.
 
Congrats Naomi, on making a start, that's the hardest part. Read loads of threads on here, especially the Stickies at the top. A lot have people have contributed on here to save us from the pitfalls that twarted them, so its all good advice. If you're finding it impossible to get the cold water down you, boil the kettle, let the water cool then drink it when its tepid. Yoyre a fab Mum for putting all that effort into sons birthday.

Busy day ahead, felt ok this morning... I am deviding my meals into 4 at the moment, as I have a bit of aneamia and low blood pressure, if devided into smaller bits I will hopefully feel a bit better/less dizzy. Had 1/3 of bar and big mug (400ml) of redbush early, then 2 more mugs until now... had 1/2 porridge now. I plan to have a soup at 2 and ten we're off for an evening at the waterpark (son's birthday tomorrow). I got my swimsuit (and short!) ready, will be lots of fun, I havent swum in ages as don't have the confidence, I have huge saddle bags and a serious problem with cellulite... But its just myself and kids going, so I will get in water this time, I have a 2 year old aswell and he will enjoy it a lot with mummy in water too :)

...the waterpark was ok, kids had lots of fun...but i feel horrible now, took paracetamol before, and had to take again now, really tired, grumpy, will just have to go to bed early. But then its PMT time aswell! I hooe it gets better soon!!!
Made the children toast and peanut butter when we came back... the smell!! Having some soup and then hopefully to dreamland soon. Hope you are all ok x
 
Hi Naomi, Sorry you are feeling horrible - you will feel much better once you are a few days in. I have the odd day where I have terrible headaches but i just try and have a hot bath and an early night on those days. The best thing for me (apart from the weight loss so far) is that my energy levels are so much better.

Stick with it, as soon as you get the first few days out of the way and see your first weigh in result you will feel great!

hi Katie, Laura, giggles and anybody reading... I'm feeling better this morning, even though I didnt sleep well, woke up at 4 and couldnt fall asleep again (anybody else like this?) Then when got up later, my 2 year old had a poo-storm!!! out in cot, bedding etc, you know what I mean...So quick wash, off for schoolrun, then wash the little man, his cot, and gor everything in washing machine now. He has a few allergies...but only new thing he ate was kiwi and maybe he drank lots of pool water yesterday!!
I had a sneek on scale this morning, I am FIVE pounds down in 2 days!! must be lots of water and emptier insides lol. But it is motivating.... I got some ketostix and tested, nice and purple in the morning :)
Rest of day is busy with school, kids activities, and son's birthday - so pizza (my fav!!) and lots of food around.... I WILL survive.... not easy. I am a bit emotional due to ex related things, but I will just have to handle it without food as a crutch. I have some chilli soup low carb meals which I bought some time ago - its 120cal, I might have that when kids and guests munching on cake and snacks.... then off to scouts with the birthday boy.

Awww Bless him, yes I bet it was the pool water! :D

Hope you're enjoying your sons birthday and if you get tempted by the pizza, just think of the 5lbs you've already lost and have a drink of water! :D

i am also on day 2, and am roughly the same weight as you now (13st 10lb) i feel so proud to get day one out of the way - that was the biggest hurdle! i am now feeling more stronger by the hour, so hopefully my mind set is getting me into 'the zone'
I have set myself a mini goal of 11stone which is a 2 and half stone weight loss by 20th June.
i did have a tiny bite of lean chicken this morning because i was so hungry. I know this won't affect me getting into ketosis, so if i need it again until ketosis is here i will not deny myself.
exante has to be the best diet for seeing results. I did slimming world not so long ago and struggled to lose 3lb in 5 weeks.
i just wish i hadn't of wasted my time doing this, because i know in 5 weeks from now i would of lost well over a stone.
GO FOR IT WITH ME!!!

Great result on the 5lbs, bet all that exercise with the little one will help too! Hope you have a better night to-night... keep drinking the water ;)

day 4 for me.... still on track. Felt ok earlier, had a vanilla/latte+decaf coffee... now runny tum! Must be the coffee early morning, my stomach a bit weak sometimes, and a bit of stress and TOTM now.
I dont feel like any shakes for lunch, should I just have tea/water? or a bit of a bar? anybody else got runny tum at this stage...?
 
.....had half a veg soup and seems ok on tummy phew, need to be out and about in a bit and cant run for loo all the time lol
