Has anyone tried the Insanity workouts? Are they an absolute killer?
Has anyone completed the full challenge? If so, what results did you get?

I'd like to keep this thread updated with my progress for those interested.
I go to the gym regularly, can happily get through most of the Les Mills classes (Body Combat etc.) But am by no means super fit.
Just did the fit test, I am now super tired and feel a little queasy (lol! Oh dear.)
Here are my start fit test results.
Kicks - 56
Squats - 30
Kness - 70
Jumps - 23
Globe jumps - 9
Suicide jumps - 14
Power jacks - 0 (can't do proper push ups yet!)
Obliques - 30
If anyone else is doing insanity let me know. Maybe we can have this as a support thread, lol!

I used to use random Insanity workouts once or twice a week, juggled with running and Jillian Michaels DVDs. Am now halfway through a proper schedule, albeit my one due to shifts and a love of running. I haven't bothered with the fit test though I have already found its dramatically improved my running. I don't expect to see any changes to my figure until further into month two, having read the Insanity forum this is quite normal. Its not so much a weight loss plan as a fitness plan, which is what I'm after. It's a challenge without a doubt, results will be better the fitter you are to start with - the fitter you are the more you can put it in. I am really enjoying it, and despite being fit I find it a great challenge.

Just be careful, the first week my appetite went through the roof!! It was worse than long distance running! It's settled back down a bit now, but nutrition is critical. You'll need a heap of energy to get through the workouts, I'd have gone with their recommended meal plan but I can't tolerate carbs too well.
Hi All.
Im on Day 10 and although it's a killer I am really enjoying it. Im also doing 2 zumba classes which are intensive... so lots of exercise going.
I have been following SW and in my first weigh (on day 4 of insanity) and gained 1lb. Im hoping that it's just a my body adjusting.
Ive decided to put SW to one side and follow the calorie recommendation for my weight.
Not sure how others have felt but recently I feel really drained when I get up so in putting that down to probably not getting enough enough cals in.
How is everyone getting on? X
I don't watch the dvs cos I get freaked out. I listen to his instructions and check every so often that im doing it right. If I watched it I wouldn't do it lol
What I like about it, is that you can do it at your pace and have breaks

It's quite normal to put on weight at first, check the beachbody forums, what with an increase in muscle and water retention. The weight does comes off though. My appetite went through the roof during week one, but has settled now. I don't feel tired either now, each workout is a killer but leaves me feeling energised. Dreading month 2 though....I had a sneak peek and terrified myself!!! As well as Insanity I am running a couple of times and the odd Jillian Michaels DVD.

I amazed myself today. I did the plyometrics dvd (not my favourite if I'm honest) reasonably well this morning, then did a lot of walking, then this evening still had the energy for a 3 mile run. I would usually only run, say six or more miles, on a recovery day/day off from Insanity. Now I'm off to eat the entire contents of my kitchen!
Have a look on YouTube for Shaun T 15 minute miracle workout with Dr Oz. I have been doing this for a few days and using it to get me ready for Insanity. I watched it first but when I actually did it the time just flew by. Two minute warm up of four exercises for 30 seconds each then repeated, 30 second break then a different four exercises each for one minute, 30 second break then repeated with cool down at the end.Originally Posted by Carlyd85
