    I know its early but....

I am worrying about Christmas already, how do u stick to a low calorie diet during this time??? Our house is always full of food and sweets. Are there any ideas for low cal Christmas dinners etc and still taste good, the food is what I most look forward to at Christmas usually :-(

Personally, having dieted through the last two Christmases, I just had three days off plan when I didn't worry about how much I ate and got straight back to it afterwards. You have to learn to fit celebrations into any weight loss plan, otherwise you're far less likely to succeed. Just be completely on plan between now and Christmas then just enjoy yourself for a few days, making sure you've got a plan for exactly when and how you'll get back on track. xx

I followed Weight Watchers last Christmas and found it really hard being limited by the points but on Slimming World this year I know it will be much easier so I'm sure it will be ok on a low calorie diet for you too. For xmas dinner I am planning to have the turkey with loads of fresh steamed veg, parsnips and potatoes roasted in frylight so I don't feel like I'm missing out, bread sauce made with wholemeal breadcrumbs and skimmed milk, quorn sausages (tasty and much better than normal sausages!) then I've found a recipe for a low calorie stuffing which I'll give a try. So that's the main meal sorted for me. In the evening if I have any space left it's usually cold meat and salad which will be on plan so it's just really christmas pud and custard that's going to be the problem...especially as it's my fave pudding! Hopefully I'll be so full up from dinner I'll only have space for a small piece lol. Besides, in the grand scheme of things what is a little blip one day in the year?!
A few mini targets to work towards:

    Reach 15% Weight Loss (14st 3lb)
    Be under 200lb (14st 3lb)
    Get into the 13s (13st 13lb)
    Reach 3st loss (13st 10lb)

That should be enough to keep me going for now

Or if you have to have stuff in the house, choose the low fat healthier options for everyone, that way its not as bad?

Going to have to look at some recipes for low fat, tasty alternatives because I will also take a long time to get back on track if I take days off :-/ maybe we should share some good recipes :-)

Yeah i think thats a good idea. You want to enjoy yourself over the holiday period so looking at alternatives instead of cutting everything out will help

Hubby and I don't buy many treats for ourselves. We visit Xmas day so eat out. It's easier and much more controlled.

My plan for Christmas is to be allowed Christmas Day and Boxing Day off because it's my favourite time of year and it wouldn't be the same on a diet! I know it will be really difficult getting back on the diet horse but in this instance I think it will be worth it....

I am not sure what my plan of attack is for going back on the diet after the break as it's not like there are 3 days after boxing day of work to get me back into a routine. I have had two "treat" nights since starting the diet 9 weeks ago so hopefully I can do it again. I will just have to keep reminding myself of my initial motivations that made me start
