Hello everyone!

Hi all,
I'm new to this site and looking for some friendly advice-givers and experience-sharers to keep me accountable.
I'm 26 and had my first baby 6 months ago. I've always been 'heavy' and a master yoyo dieter. I'm a tall 5'10 and a size 16 on average.
I lost four stone last year on low carb. Managed to get my BMI down to being borderline normal and I felt great.
But pregnancy racked me with ailments and I found myself slowly piling it all back on, undoing all the hard work!
I'm now heavier than I've ever been (16st,11lb when I weighed last week). Shocking considering I was about 12 stone during the summer of last year!
Anyway, last week I decided to try slimfast. I tend to struggle with portion control and overeating so the shakes for breakfast and lunch prevent me from taking in too many calories. I can also eat 3x 100cal snacks throughout the day aswell so I'm practically eating every two hours and it's stopping me from getting that ravenous feeling that knocks my motivation.
Today was weigh in number one and I'm down 6lbs (mostly water weight I assume but weight all the same).
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone had any experiences of slimfast they could share, I'm excited to hear what's instore to follow or can be expected on this diet? I initially thought I'd try it for a bit just to kick start my weightloss so I suppose it all depends on how the weeks to follow go. If the weightloss slows down drastically I may consider a switch to something more long-term viable so any other suggestions on plans that have worked for others would be fab too :)
