Hi everyone! My name is Julia and about 4 years ago and I decided enough was enough and lost the 4 stone I'd been attempting to lose my whole adult life. Since doing that I've become a personal life coach and help other women to also lose the weight they've been trying to do for so many years. I've done EVERY diet out there and I've finally found my balance. ;)

I've joined this forum because I'm still on a journey and am looking for support (and to support others) on the journey of loving the body you're in and not letting weight stop you from reaching your goals! I take every day one step at a time and am pleased to say that for the most part, I've stayed firmly on the wagon. I love to hear how other people are getting on and learn their tips and tricks (and share my own) as I've come to learn there is no "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to losing weight and maintaining your ideal body shape. Wish I'd known that 20 years ago!

I am a really keen cook and have worked quite hard at attempting to make food that is both healthy and tasty. I try to surround myself with inspirational people, images and media that keeps me on track and doesn't lead me back to my former life. I am a real believer in small consistent steps achieving great transformation and try to just get better and better every day. Some days that's easier than others! I'm really excited about joining your community xxx

Hi,
Welcome and congrats on keeping the weight off. i lost 20kg also around 4 years ago with lipotrim which is a total food replacement shake, but was negligent with the refeeding and put it all back on, plus some!. i would never go for TFR as i'm sure it meses up the metabolism.

Now i'm determined to lose weight by excersise and calorie counting. it's so hard though, thats why I nip on here for motivation.

Hi Julia. I've just joined the forum and slimming world and want to lose a lot of weight! I'm trying to just be patient as it's not going to be a quick fix but a lifestyle change! Hope everything works out for you!

It sure is tough getting back to eating "normally" after doing replacements and not putting the weight back on, so I feel your pain. Keep going, even if you have slip ups and you WILL get there!!! Good luck!

Yes, good point - patience is the key. It's funny how we expect to lose all the weight in a week that's taken us 10 years to accumulate! Really good luck to you - I know so many people who've lost weight with Slimming World and have kept it off. Loving that little 1/2 stone award too. Well done!
